B. Uploading of the ATSU Applications
CAUTION : DURING THE UPLOADING OF THE AOC SOFTWARE/DATABASE AND ATSU
_______ CONFIGURATION/ROUTER PARAMETERS SOFTWARE INTO THE ATSU (FIN'S 22TX, 24TX, 21TX, 30TX), MAKE SURE THAT:
-
MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL DO NOT CHANGE THE SOURCE OF THE AIRCRAFT POWER SUPPLY (GROUND POWER UNIT, APU, ...)
-
MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL DO NOT TOUCH OR MOVE THE DATA LOADER SELECTOR(S)/DLRB AND THE MDDU/PDL. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE TWO PRECAUTIONS, THERE WILL BE ERASURE OF ALL THE AOC SOFTWARE/DATABASE AND ATSU CONFIGURATION/ ROUTER PARAMETERS SOFTWARE LOADED INTO THE ATSU. IT WILL THEN BE NECESSARY TO START THE UPLOADING PROCEDURE OF ALL THE AOC SOFTWARE/DATABASE AND ATSU CONFIGURATION/ROUTER PARAMETERS SOFTWARE AGAIN.
You can upload all the software disks that follow in this sequence and one after the other:
-AOC Software disk (22TX),
-then, AOC Database disk (24TX).
NOTE : The loading time for a full disk is twelve minutes approximately.

NOTE : After the uploading procedures, the operator must do a check of
____ the reference of the data loaded in the computer, on the MCDU.

-set the ON/OFF switch to ON.
2. On the overhead panel, on the Data Loading Selector:
-push the PREV or NEXT key until you get the ATSU indication.
3. On the overhead panel, on the Data Loading Selector:
-push the SEL CTL key.
4. On the MDDU:
-put the disk into the disk drive, the label in the forward direction.
On the display of the Data LoadingSelector:
-DB/N: PUSH NEXT/PREV indication is shown.
On the Multipurpose Disk Drive Unit (MDDU):
-the < < MDDU READY > > indication is shown.
On the display of the Data LoadingSelector:
-ATSUNOT SELECTED indication is shown.
On the display of the Data LoadingSelector:
-ATSU SELECTED indication is shown.
On the MDDU:
-the READY indication is shown
On the MDDU:
-then, the WAIT RESPONSE indication isshown.
On the MDDU:
-the TRANS IN PROG indication is shown.
NOTE : If a transfer fault occurs, we

- after you set the ON/OFF switch on the Data Loading Selector to OFF and
- before you start the uploading of the ATSU software again. Thus, the ATSU can complete its Power On Self-Test.
NOTE : If more than one disk is____ necessary for uploading, the EJECT DISK and INSERT DISK
indications are shown one after
the other. They tell the operator to put a new disk into the MDDU.
On the upper ECAM DU: - the COM ACARS FAULT or DATALINK ATSU
FAULT warning is shown.
On the MCDU:
- the ATSU prompt is not shown. - when all the disks are loaded in the
computer, the TRANSF COMPLETE indication is shown.
5. On the MDDU: On the MDDU:
