B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the applicable fuel tank is defueled (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2)
Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(3)
Make sure that the access platform is below the applicable zone 540 (640). Make sure that the applicable access panels are removed (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-002):

A. Preparation for Installation
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1)
Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004)
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4)
Get access through the opening 540KB(640KB) to RIB15.
(5)
Identify and attach the ends of the applicable string to the cables for the fuel probe 34QT1(34QT2) and the sensor 19QJ1(19QJ2).
(6)
Put tape around the end of the harness 16QT1(16QT2). This will help to let it move more easily through the conduit.

R B. Installation of the Wing-Tank Outer-Cell Group B Harness 16QT1 (16QT2)
(1)
Get access through the opening 540LB(640LB) to RIB17 and find the string at the inboard end of the conduit.
(2)
Use the string to carefully pull the harness 16QT1(16QT2) through the inboard part of the conduit, until the cables come into view.

(3) Get access through the opening 540QB(640QB) to RIB21 and find the string at the outboard part of the conduit.
CAUTION : DO NOT MAKE KINKS IN THE HARNESS WHEN YOU PULL IT ACROSS
_______ RIB17. THE CONDUIT DOES NOT PROTECT THIS PART OF THE HARNESS.
(4)
Use the string to carefully pull the harness 16QT1(16QT2) through the outboard part of the conduit.
(5)
Remove and discard the string and the tape from the harness.
(6)
Identify the cable ends for the fuel probe 34QT1(34QT2). (Ref. Fig. 408/TASK 28-42-43-991-008)
(7) Use a crimping tool to crimp the correct color terminal connectors R (2) to the color identified wires (Ref. ESPM 203222).
(8)
Connect the terminal connectors (2) to the terminal block of the fuel probe 34QT1(34QT2).
(9)
Put the cables for the fuel probe 34QT1(34QT2) in position. (Ref. Fig. 408/TASK 28-42-43-991-008)
