A. Removal of the Magnetic Level-Indicator Rod 92QM
(1)
Push the Magnetic Level Indicator (MLI) rod (5) in against the spring
(2) and turn it through 90 deg. to release.
(2)
Pull the MLI rod (5) out until the magnet (1) touches the seal (3). Continue to pull until the MLI rod (5) is out of the MLI lower housing (4).

A. Preparation for Installation
(1)
Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004).
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Magnetic Level-Indicator Rod 92QM
(1)
Carefully push the Magnetic Level Indicator (MLI) rod (5) into the MLI lower housing (4) until the magnet (1) is past the O-ring (3).
(2)
Push the MLI rod (5) fully in and turn through 90 deg and lock in position.

C. Operational Test
CAUTION : DO NOT LET THE MLI's FALL FREELY.

Release the MLI rod (5) and make sure it extends fully and smoothly.
(2)
Retract the MLI rod (5) and lock in position.
