R  A. Preparation for Installation 
R  WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL_______ 
R  MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. 
R  OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. 
R  PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. 
R  DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. 
R  DO NOT SMOKE. 
R  DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. 
R  THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. 
R  GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED. 
R  (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with 
R  MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS 
R  (Material No. 11-004). 
R  (2) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area. 
R  (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are 
R  clean and in the correct condition.

 

R  (4) Apply FUELS (Material No. 01-001) or COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-
R  012) to: 
R  - FOR 202QM 
R  the new O-ring (4) and new O-ring (5) 
R  - FOR 203QM 
R  the new O-ring (4) and the O-ring (5). 
R  (5) Install the O-ring (5) on to the base (2) 
R  Subtask 28-43-22-420-055 
R  B. Installation of the Magnetic-Level-Indicator Assembly 202QM (203QM) 
R  (1) Apply a thin layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) to the interface 
R  of the bolts (6) 
R  (2) Install the bolts (6), the O-rings (4), the MLI (7) and the nuts (3). 
R  (3) Apply a thin layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) over the nuts 
R  (3) and the bolts (6). 
R  (4) Make sure the float (1) moves smoothly along the complete length of 
R  the MLI tube.

R  C. Close Access 
R  (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other 
R  items. 
R  (2) Install the access panel (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-400-002): 
R  - FOR 202QM 
R  install 540QB 
R  - FOR 203QM 
R  install 640QB.

R  (1) Refuel, defuel or transfer fuel as necessary (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-

R  (1) Make sure that fuel does not leak from the MLI assembly (7).
