1EFF : 401-499, 1 23-28-00Page 24 1 1 Aug 01/05 1 1 1CES 1R (a) Available user actions for the log-on process are displayed R adjacent to line key 6R
R received.
R
R UPDATING TABLE This status is shown while the AES is updating system
R tables.
R
R REQUESTING LOG-ON This status is shown after the AES has selected a GES
R and sent a log-on request. The AES is waiting for a
R Log-on Confirm (plus any optional P/R/T-channel Control
R SUs) from the GES.
R
R WAITING ACK This status is shown after the AES has received the
R Log-on Confirm (plus any optional P/R/T-channel Control
R SUs), and has sent a Log-on Acknowledge to the GES. The
R AES is waiting for a Log-on Acknowledge from the GES.
R
R LOGGED ON This status is shown after the AES has successfully
R logged onto a GES. While in the LOGGED ON state, the
R LOG -OFF* action is available.
R
R LOGGING OFF This status is shown after the AES has begun the
R log-off process and before going to the WAIT USER
R INPUT state.
R
R REJECT-TEMPORARY These statuses are shown to indicate the cause of a
R REJECT-PERMANENT rejected log-on attempt. If the attempt was to a
R REJECT-INV PARAM manually selected GES, the AES goes to the WAIT USER
R INPUT state and continually displays the cause. If
R the attempt was to an automatically selected GES, and
R the type of reject is permanent, the log-on process
R continues with the next selected GES and the Failed GES
R will not be attempted again for 1 hour. If the reject
R type was temporary or invalid Parameters, the GES may
R be tried again on ensuing log-on attempts.
R
R LOG-ON FAILED This status is shown if log-on to a user selected
R Satellite/GES has failed and there is no cause code
R available for display. (e.g. failure is due to signal
R loss).
R
R INVALID CLASS This status is shown if current conditions do not
R allow any log-on class to be utilized.

R ABORT* This action is displayed adjacent to line key 6R during
R the search portions of log-on. This action is displayed
R using the ACTION color type. Selection of line key 6R while
R ABORT* is displayed results in the AES aborting the search.
R The AES goes to the WAIT USER INPUT state.
R
R LOG-OFF* This action is possible from the REQUESTING LOG-ON
R WAITING ACK OR LOGGED ON state and is displayed
R adjacent to line key 6R. This action is displayed using the
R ACTION color type. Selection of line key 6R while LOG-OFF*
R is displayed causes the AES to go to the WAIT
R USER INPUT state. If the AES is in the LOGGED ON
R state at time of selection, the AES performs a
R log-off to the GES.
