R (e) Part Numbers for SDU Owner Requirement Table are displayed
R adjacent to and below line key 3L. If the Protection Level
R applied to any of the four data-loadable Owner Requirement Table
R records is set to Protected/Modifiable and data in any
R Protected/Modifiable table has been modified, the word MOD is
R displayed adjacent to the 12-digit Part Number. The second Part
R Number is a 15 alphanumeric digit free text field. Both Part
R Number fields are user-definable and may be defined when
R generating the dataloadable ORT disk.
R (f) Aircraft ID is displayed adjacent to line key 4L. A PIN
R indication following the aircraft ID indicates it is decoded from
R the configuration pins. A XTALK indication shows the data is
R extracted from the crosstalk bus.
R A BUS indication shows the data is extracted from the 429 ACID
R bus. If the ACID bus is selected as the source and data has not
R been received, then dashes are displayed.
R (g) The Protected Level Code and the entry boxes are only available
R during In-Flight mode and only when the SDU is not Logged On.
R (5) SATCOM LOG page
R (Ref. Fig. 015)
R The SATCOM LOG page provides display of AES log-on and control of
R log-on.
R Owner preference and owner requirement tables are accessed via the
R SATCOM- MAINT menu display. This page may be entered from the MAIN
R MENU page or from any other page when the active advisory "LOG-ON >"
R is displayed.
R This page provides selection and control of the log-on process.
R Sat ID and GES ID and the Log-On select can be entered when in user
R commanded (manual) log-on mode and in the WAIT USER INPUT state. The
R log-on status is displayed adjacent to line key 1L. The following
R status messages are displayed, under the conditions described.
R WARMING:
R This status is shown under any of the following conditions:
R - the SDU is initializing data following a power cycle,
R - or the HSR status of the RFU is in the warm-up state,
R - or the BSU is reporting self-test.

R AES ID NOT READY This status is shown if the AES is awaiting a valid
R Aircraft ID.
R
R WAIT USER INPUT This status is shown while the AES is awaiting input from
R the user and is shown in conjunction with the WAITING
R inactive advisory. The WAIT USER INPUT state is entered
R under any of the following conditions:
R - if at power-up the log-on policy in the owner preference
R table is USER COMMANDED or
R - if a user commanded log-on has failed for any reason or
R - if the AES receives a log-on reject due to a permanent
R unavailability or
R - if the user has selected LOG OFF* or ABORT*.
R When in this state, the Satellite ID and, GES ID options
R are user enterable. AUTO LOG-ON* is displayed adjacent
R to line key 5R. MANUAL* is displayed adjacent to line key
R 6R. The user may manually select a Satellite/GES for a
R manual log-on or may select AUTO LOG-ON* (5R) which causes
R the AES to select a GES according to preferences entered in
R the GES preference table.
R
R SELECTING SAT This status is shown while the AES selects a Satellite.
R
R TUNING TO SAT This status is shown while the AES tunes to and scans
R reception from the selected satellite.
R
R SELECTING GES This status is shown while the AES selects a GES.
