C. Safety Precautions
(1)
Make sure that the air conditioning packs are off.
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1 and 2 throttle control levers are at idle.

D. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
NOTE : The energization of the aircraft electrical circuits starts a full
____ test of the ventilation system. The test continues for 2 minutes approximately.

E. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
On the VENTILATION section of the panel 22VU:
-make sure that the BLOWER and EXTRACT pushbutton switches are in the AUTO configuration (pushed, with the FAULT and OVRD legends off).
(2)
Do the EIS start procedure (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3)
On the ECAM control panel, push the PRESS key.
(4)
On the lower ECAM display unit:
-the PRESS page comes into view and shows the skin air-inlet and skin air-outlet valves in the open position (if the outside air temperature is above 11 deg.C (51,8 deg.F). If the outside air temperature is below 4 deg.C (39,2 deg.F), the skin air-inlet and skin air-outlet valves are closed).

Put the access platform in position.

-push the DITCHING pushbutton switch.
2. On the CABIN PRESS section of the panel 25VU:
-release the DITCHING pushbutton switch.
