A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that:
(a)
The aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(b)
The AFT cargo-compartment door 826 is open (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(c)
The access platform is in position at the AFT cargo-compartment door 826.
(d) The access panel 162DW is removed (Ref. TASK 25-55-12-000-001). Subtask 21-23-51-865-051
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged

Subtask 21-23-51-420-050
A. Installation of the Lavatory and Galley Extract Fan
R R (1) Remove the blanking plugs from the lavatory and galley extract fan (3) and from the duct (11).
R R (2) Put the lavatory and galley extract fan (3) in position on the duct (11) and in the bracket (13).
R R NOTE : Make sure that the flow arrow on the body of the lavatory and____ galley extract fan (3) points in the direction of the air flow.
R (3) Install the clamps (2) and (4).
NOTE : Make sure that when you look in the direction of the air flow____ the electrical connector on the lavatory and galley extract fan is between the 4 o'clock and the 5 o'clock position.
R (4) Make sure that the clamp (4) is in the correct position.
R (5) TORQUE the clamp (4) to between 0.25 and 0.30 m.daN (22.12 and 26.54 lbf.in).
R (6) Make sure that the clamp (2) is in the correct position.
R (7) TORQUE the clamp (2) to between 0.13 and 0.18 m.daN (11.50 and 15.92 lbf.in).
R R (8) Put the outlet duct (12) in position on the lavatory and galley extract fan (3) and install the clamp (1).
R R NOTE : Make sure that the location pin (14) is engaged in the hole in____ the lavatory and galley extract fan outlet-flange.
R (9) Make sure that the clamp (1) is in the correct position.
R (10) TORQUE the clamp (1) to between 0.2 and 0.25 m.daN (17.69 and 22.12 lbf.in).
R (11) Put the bonding strap (8) in position and install the washer (9), the R screw (10), the washer (7) and the nut (6) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).

Remove the blanking caps from the disconnected electrical connectors.
(13)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
R (14) Connect the electrical connector (5).
(15) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 5HU, 6HU

(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Install the access panel 162DW (Ref. TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(3)
Remove the access platform.
(4)
Close the AFT cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
