project (SESAR), a programme to support
ICAO’s ATM Operational Concept, we look
forward to its contribution to the vision
of an integrated, harmonised and globally
interoperable air navigation system.
Given the success it has had in meeting the
myriad challenges that civil aviation has
faced in the past, I have every confidence
that through SESAR, EUROCONTROL will
continue to embody the vitality that will
be required to provide all stakeholders of
the European aviation community, be they
regulators, operators or travellers, with the
highest levels of safety and efficiency that
they deserve.
On behalf of the Secretariat of ICAO, and
particularly the staff in our regional office in
Paris, I wish EUROCONTROL our most sincere
congratulations and our best wishes for
another 50 years of achievements.

our two organisations focuses on ICAO’s
Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme
as we continue to foster a collaborative environment
to help Member States fulfil their
responsibilities for the implementation of
