except for the Western part of airspace below 10 000ft
where the ATC services are provided by Italian Air Force

up to FL 295 where the provision of air traffic service is
based upon a Radar approach/departure service and
procedural (non-radar) ATC services, under conditions
specified in ICAO airspace classification Delta for
Prishtina CTA. Ground based radio navigation systems
in use are VOR/DME, PSR/SSR (Radar system), and ILS

Vision
To be the most efficient, competitive and compliant Air
Navigation Service Provider in Europe.
Mission
To facilitate safe air traffic services in Kosovo Airspace in
compliance with International Standards and Regulations
through cost effective provision of air navigation services.
Objectives
• Extend the service provision to the upper airspace of
Kosovo for overflying traffic above FL 290
• Build new Tower/Approach facilities
Responsibilities and Activities
We are committed to achieve our vision, mission and
objectives through the following operational structure:
Throughout
its lifetime,
EUROCONTROL
has had to adapt
to a spectrum of
technological,
socio-economic and
political revolutions
FIFTY YEARS IS a momentous anniversary,
but remaining relevant and focused for half
a century can be a struggle for any organisation.
This is particularly true for an international
organisation with 38 Member States,
representing an industry which is dynamic,
global and constantly evolving. Throughout
its lifetime, EUROCONTROL has had to adapt
to a spectrum of technological, socio-economic
and political revolutions. However,
over the fi ve decades of its existence, the
Agency has been a major vehicle for change
in Europe’s increasingly busy skies.
From the early days in the 1960s, with
the introduction of jet aircraft, there was
Patrick Gandil, Provisional Council President, EUROCONTROL
Coordinating evolution
a realisation that Europe could not expect
aviation to develop effi ciently within the
borders of individual States. There had to
be a body that could bring in new procedures,
concepts and technologies in a
coordinated, safe and well-managed way.
Coordination is key, and the establishment
of pan-European functions is the bedrock
on which Europe’s collaborative air traffi c
management (ATM) system relies. Innovations
such as the Maastricht Upper Area
Control Centre and the Central Route
Charges Offi ce, developed in the 1970s, led
the way to deeper integration and more
effi cient air transport operations.

ATM Technology Solutions
As Canada’s Air Navigation Service Provider, we clearly
see safety and efficiency as the two biggest priorities in
our business – and we know the same is true in yours.
How do we meet today’s traffic challenges, and still be
prepared for what tomorrow may bring?
By using powerful, integrated and operationally proven
air traffic management solutions developed by our own
engineers and air traffic controllers.
This technology is operational at Canadian tower and
terminal facilities, and it has been selected by other
international ANS providers to meet their own air traffic
management needs.
Our ATM products provide fast, reliable access to
critical airport, tower, and terminal air traffic control
information, allowing the integration, manipulation and
distribution of data across the system.
And, our new integrated tower suites enhance efficiency
by combining flight, surveillance and operational data.
All of our air traffic management systems are scalable to
meet the demands of your operation, and are supported
by comprehensive training programs and lifecycle
maintenance.
We think you too will clearly see the advantage of
