(1)  Put the GPS annunciation unit in position in the panel. 
(2)  Install the screws which attach the GPS annunciation unit to the panel. 
(3)  Connect the connector to the rear of the GPS annunciation unit. 
(4)  Install the instrument panel cover.  Refer to Section 25-10. 
(5)  Do a test of the GPS.  Refer to Paragraph 6.

(1)  Remove the co-pilot's map light.  Refer to Section 33-10. 
(2)  Release the co-axial connector from the antenna. 
(3)  Release the screws which hold the antenna. 
(4)  Carefully pull the antenna clear of the fuselage and hold it.  If necessary, carefully cut the sealant around the base of the antenna. You must not damage the fuselage skin. 
(5)  Move the antenna clear of the airplane.

(1)  Carefully remove any sealant from the area where the antenna attaches to the fuselage. 
(2)  Clean the area where the antenna attaches to the fuselage. 
(3)  Put the antenna in position on the fuselage. 
(4)  Attach the antenna with the screws. 
(5)  Connect the co-axial connector to the antenna. 
(6)  Seal the outer edge of the antenna to the fuselage skin with sealant.  Use Dow Corning 732 RTV. 
(7)  Install the co-pilot's map light.  Refer to Section 33-10. 
(8)  Do a test of the GPS.  Refer to Paragraph 6.

(1)  Switch the GPS ON: S Set the ALT/BAT switch (Lycoming version) or ELECTRIC MASTER key switch (TAE version) ON. S Set the AVIONIC MASTER switch ON. S Set the ON-OFF knob on the GPS receiver to ON.  The GPS display must light. 
(2)  Observe the self-test of the GPS receiver.  Bendix/King KLN 89B and KLN 94: S The displayed altitude must be correct. S The display must show "Pass". Bendix/King KMD 150: S There must be no warning. Garmin GNS 430/530: S The displayed database information must be correct. S The display must show "OK?". 
(3)  Do a test of each control function.  Refer to this Section and to the GPS manufacturer's manual. 
(4)  Switch the GPS OFF: S Set the ON-OFF knob on the GPS receiver to OFF. S Set the AVIONIC MASTER switch OFF. S Set the ALT/BAT switch (Lycoming version) or ELECTRIC MASTER key switch (TAE version) OFF.
