4. Install Receiver-Transmitter - Sperry Primus 90
A. Remove protective covers from waveguide and electrical connectors, if installed.
B. Visually check waveguide port, on shockmount, is free of dirt, debris and moisture.
C. Release lever latch handles and set handles to their lowest position.
D. Slide R/T into shockmount and carefully push it completely to the rear, engaging the guide pins.
CAUTION: CHECK ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS, WAVEGUIDE FLANGES, AND INDEX PINS ARE PROPERLY ALIGNED OR DAMAGED EQUIPMENT COULD RESULT.
E. Press lever handles upwards, engaging the shockmount, until the handles latch and lock.
F. Remove DO-NOT-OPERATE identifiers and close WEATHER RADAR AC and DC circuit breakers.
G. Perform operational test in weather radar system A/T (Ref 34-41-0).
H. Remove external electrical power if no longer required.
5. Install Receiver-Transmitter - Collins WXR-700X
A. Remove protective covers from waveguide and electrical connectors, if installed.
B. Visually check waveguide port, on shockmount, is free of dirt, debris and moisture.
CAUTION: CHECK ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS, WAVEGUIDE FLANGES, AND INDEX PINS ARE PROPERLY ALIGNED OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT COULD RESULT.
C. Slide R/T into shockmount.
D. Engage R/T and R/T mount connectors together with thumb screws.
E. Position knurled nuts over hold-down clamps on R/T and tighten.
F. Remove DO-NOT-OPERATE identifiers and close WEATHER RADAR AC circuit breakers.
G. Perform operational test in weather radar system A/T (Ref 34-41-02).

WEATHER RADAR INDICATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. The weather radar indicator is installed in a mounting tray located in the forward electronic panel (P8). The tray has a locking lever at the forward edge that secures the indicator in the tray.
WARNING: OPERATION OF WEATHER RADAR EQUIPMENT INVOLVES USE OF DANGEROUS VOLTAGES. DURING REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURES, MAKE CERTAIN THAT WEATHER RADAR CIRCUIT BREAKERS ON CIRCUIT BREAKER PANEL P18-1 ARE OPENED AND ARE TAGGED WITH "DO-NOT-OPERATE" IDENTIFIERS.
DO NOT OPERATE WEATHER RADAR WHILE AIRPLANE IS BEING REFUELED OR DEFUELED AND DO NOT OPERATE IN ANY RADIATING MODE WHILE A FUELING OPERATION IS BEING CONDUCTED WITHIN 300 FEET OF THE ANTENNA OR AN EXPLOSION MAY OCCUR.
PERSONNEL MUST NOT ENTER AN AREA CLOSER THAN 50 FEET IN FRONT OF A RADIATING ANTENNA OR INJURY TO PERSONNEL MAY OCCUR.
CAUTION: WHEN WEATHER RADAR IS OPERATED IN ANY MODE OTHER THAN STANDBY OR TEST, DIRECT NOSE OF THE AIRPLANE SO FORWARD 180-DEGREE SECTOR IS FREE OF LARGE METALLIC OBJECTS (HANGARS, TRUCKS, OTHER AIRPLANES, ETC.) FOR A DISTANCE OF 300 FEET AND TILT ANTENNA UPWARD 15 DEGREES OR DAMAGE TO RECEIVER MAY OCCUR.
2. Remove Indicator - Sperry Primus 90
A. Open WEATHER RADAR AC and DC circuit breakers on P18-1 circuit breaker panel, and tag with DO-NOT-OPERATE identifiers.
B. Pull handle forward from bottom of indicator.
C. Disengage indicator from mounting tray by rotating mounting tray locking lever to right.
D. Pull indicator forward for sufficient access to mating connector.
E. Disconnect electrical mating connector and remove indicator from mounting tray.
F. Remove indicator from mounting tray.
3. Remove Indicator - Collins WXR-700X
A. Open WEATHER RADAR AC circuit breakers on P18-1 circuit breaker panel, and tag with DO-NOT-OPERATE identifiers.
B. Pull handle forward from bottom of indicator.
C. Disengage indicator from mounting tray by rotating mounting tray locking lever to right.
D. Remove indicator from mounting tray.

4. Install Indicator - Sperry Primus 90
A. Rotate mounting tray locking lever to right.
B. Pull indicator handle forward and slide indicator into mounting tray sufficiently so electrical mating connector can be connected.
C. Slide indicator into mounting tray, engaging guide pin on mounting tray.
D. Lock indicator in place by rotating mounting tray locking lever to left and push handle in under indicator.
E. Remove DO-NOT-OPERATE tags and close WEATHER RADAR AC and DC circuit breakers.
F. Perform operational test in Weather Radar System A/T (Ref 34-41-0).
G. Remove external electrical power if no longer required.
5. Install Indicator - Collins WXR-700X
