Repeat steps (e) and (f) keeping No. 1 vertical gyro level and tilting No. 2 vertical gyro.

Test Roll Warning
(a)
Tilt No. 1 vertical gyro two degrees in right roll and No. 2 vertical gyro in 2.0 士 1.6 degrees left roll. ROLL light on captain's and first officer's instrument warning panels should come on.
(b)
Tilt No. 1 vertical gyro 20 degrees right roll. Tilt No. 2 vertical gyro 16 士 1.6 degrees right roll. ROLL light should come on.
(c)
Tilt No. 2 vertical gyro 24 士 1.6 degrees right roll. ROLL light should come on.
(d)
Repeat steps (b) and (c) for left roll.
(e)
Select APP mode on autopilot; ROLL light on the captain's and first officer's warning panel should come on when No. 1 vertical gyro is tilted 3 士 1 degrees right roll, while No. 2 vertical gyro is kept level.
(f)
Repeat step (e) for left roll.
(g)
Repeat steps (e) and (f) keeping No. 1 vertical gyro level and tilting No. 2 vertical gyro.
(h)
Return autopilot to HDG SEL mode.

Test LOC Warning
(a)
Verify VHF NAV transfer switch is in NORMAL.
(b)
Tune both VHF NAV receivers to 108.10 MHz.
(c)
Apply 1 dot UP and 1 dot LEFT signals from NAV 401L test set. LOC and GS warning lights should be off and NAV and GS flags on both HSIs should be out of view.
(d)
Hold TEST switch on captain's frequency selector (or pushbutton on No. 1 VHF NAV receiver) in UP-LEFT position and reduce localizer deviation signal from test set toward zero. LOC warning lights should come on approximately 1/4 dot LEFT deviation.
(e)
Release TEST switch. LOC warning lights should go out.
(f)
Return localizer deviation from test set to 1 dot LEFT. LOC warning lights should remain off.
(g)
Repeat steps (d) thru (f) using TEST switch on first officer's frequency selector (or on No. 2 VHF NAV receiver).
(6)
Test Glide Slope (GS) Warning
(a)
Hold TEST switch on captain's frequency selector (or pushbutton on No. 1 VHF NAV receiver) in UP-LEFT position and reduce glide slope deviation signal toward zero. GS warning lights should come on at approximately 1/4 dot UP deviation while GS flags are out of view.
(b)
Release TEST switch. GS warning lights should go out.
(c)
Return glide slope deviation from test set to 1 dot UP. GS warning lights should remain off.
(d)
Repeat steps (a) and (b) using TEST switch on first officer's frequency selector (or on No. 2 VHF NAV receiver).
(e)
Reduce GS and LOC deviations from test set to zero.
(f)
Hold TEST switch on captain's frequency selector (or pushbutton on No. 1 VHF NAV receiver) in UP-LEFT position. GS and LOC warning lights should come on.
(g)
With GS and LOC warning lights on, momentarily move VHF NAV transfer switch into all other positions. GS and LOC warning lights in NORMAL position only.
(h)
Repeat steps (f) and (g) using TEST switch on first officer's frequency selector (or on No. 2 VHF NAV receiver).
(7)
Test Altimeter Warning
(a)
Select APP mode on autopilot.
(b)
Set both radio altimeters to 550 士 10 feet. Radio altimeter flags should be out of view and comparator ALT light should be off.
(c)
Increase altitude of No. 1 radio altimeter to 640 士 20 feet. ALT light should come on.
(d)
Return autopilot to HDG SEL mode. ALT light should go out.
(e)
Set radio altimeters to 450 士 10 feet and select APP mode on autopilot. ALT light should go out.
(f)
Decrease No. 2 radio altimeter to 400 士 20 feet. ALT light should come on.

E. Restore Airplane to Normal Configuration
(1)
Turn off signal generators and reinstall vertical gyros.
(2)
If no longer required, remove electrical power from airplane.
