C. Raise light assembly into position and relatch.
NOTE: Before closing, rehook shorter lanyard to light assembly.
D. Test galley lights.
5. Test Galley Lights
A. Provide electrical power (Ref 24-22-0, MP).
B. Ensure that GALLEY LTS circuit breaker on P18-3 panel are closed.
C. Position applicable galley lights switch to DIM. Check that galley lights come on dim.
D. Position applicable galley lights switch to BRT. Check that galley lights come on bright.
E. Return galley lights switch to OFF.
F. Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-22-0, MP).

PASSENGER LOADING LIGHTS - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
EFFECTIVITY
ATI INTERIOR
1. General
A. Passenger loading lights consists of threshold and entry lights, attendants work lights and closet lights. Threshold and entry lights use both fluorescent and incandescent lights. The lights are mounted immediately inside the passenger loading and service doors. Attendant work lights are incandescent lights mounted on ceilings above attendant work areas. Attendant work lights and threshold and entry lights are controlled by switches on forward and aft attendant’s panels. Closet lights are controlled at the closet.
2. Threshold Entry Lights (Fig. 1)
A. Threshold/entry lights consist of both incandescent threshold lights and fluorescent ceiling entry lights. The ceiling entry lights consists of two fluorescent tubes mounted on ceiling panels near the entry doors. An incandescent light is mounted inside each panel. They provide illumination for passenger loading and service entry areas.
B. Forward and aft incandescent threshold lights are powered from 28-volt ac ground service bus through circuit breakers on the P18-3 panel. Fluorescent ceiling entry lights are powered from the P18-3 panel. A transformer on the top of the entry light steps up 115 volts ac to 280 volts ac. A dim entry light in each fluorescent entry light illuminates whenever ground power is connected. The dim entry light is powered from the hot battery bus through a circuit breaker on the P5 circuit breaker panel.
C. The rotary ENTRY light switches for entry lights are three position (OFF-DIM-BRT) switches located on both the forward and aft attendant panels. These switches control the dual fluorescent lights in the ceiling at each entry and the threshold lights at each left doorway. The fluorescent lights are powered with 115 volts ac from the ground service bus through a circuit breaker on the P18-3 panel. The DIM switch position provides 280 volts ac to the light ballasts turning the fluorescent lamps on in the dim mode. The BRT switch position applies an additional 115 volts ac to the ballasts causing the fluorescent lamps to illuminate in full brightness. The BRT position of an ENTRY light switch will also apply 28 volts ac to the incandescent threshold light from the 28-volt ac ground service bus through a circuit breaker on the P18-3 panel.

D. A dim entry light is located in each dual fluorescent entry light assembly. These lights are turned on when the external power sensing relay on the P6 panel senses that external power is being applied to the external power receptacle. The dim entry lights will then be turned on through the closed contacts of the relay by 28 volts dc from the hot battery bus through a circuit breaker on the P5 panel. 中国航空网 www.aero.cn 航空翻译 www.aviation.cn 本文链接地址:737 AMM 飞机维护手册 灯 LIGHTS(37)
