PASSENGER COMPARTMENT ILLUMINATION - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES
EFFECTIVITY
ATI INTERIOR
1. General
A. The following procedure provide steps for relamping and testing the ceiling, night and window lights.
2. Relamp Ceiling Lights
A. Provide electrical power (Ref 24-22-0, MP)
B. Place CEILING switch on P13 forward attendant's panel to BRT position.
C. Identify faulty light, and place CEILING switch to OFF position.
D. Open following CEILING LTS circuit breakers on P18-3 panel.

GND SERV RIGHT
(6)
GND SERV BRT CONT
(7)
GND SERV NIGHT CONT
E. Press the PUSH button on both ends of lamp and remove lamp.
F. Replace lamp.
G. Close circuit breakers opened in step D above.
H. Position CEILING switch on P13 forward attendant's panel to BRT and check that light comes on. Position CEILING switch to OFF.
I. Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-22-0, MP).
3. Relamp Night Lights
A. Provide electrical power (Ref 24-22-0, MP).
B. Place CEILING switch on P13 forward attendant's panel to NIGHT position.
C. Identify faulty light, and place CEILING switch to OFF.
D. Open following NIGHT LIGHTS circuit breakers on P18-3 panel.

E. Reach directly above ceiling frame.
F. Press miniature bayonet mount incandescent lamp down, then rotate it a quarter turn and remove lamp.
G. Replace lamp.
H. Close NIGHT LIGHTS circuit breakers on P18-3 panel opened in step D. above.
I. Position CEILING switch on P13 forward attendant's panel to NIGHT position and check that lights come on. Position CEILING switch to OFF. Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-20-0, MP)
4. Relamp Window Lights
A. Provide electrical power (Ref 24-22-0, MP).
B. Place WINDOW switch on P13 forward attendant's panel to BRT.
C. Identify faulty light and place WINDOW switch to OFF.
D. Open following WINDOW LIGHTS circuit breakers on P18-3 panel.

RIGHT POWER
(2)
LEFT POWER
(3)
BRT/DIM CONTROL
E. Remove retaining screws from lens.
F. Lower lens and pivot it vertically to remove lens.

G. Reach through opening and push PRESS button on lamp holder to remove lamp.
WARNING: OBSERVE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN HANDLING FLUORESCENT LAMPS. BROKEN LAMPS MAY CAUSE INJURY.
H. Replace fluorescent lamp.
I. Install lens.
(1)
Insert lens into opening with inboard edge up.
(2)
Rotate lens so that clips on inboard edge of lens rest on inboard side of sidewall panel.
(3)
Install and tighten retaining screws.
J. Close WINDOW LIGHTS circuit breaker opened in step D above.
K. Position WINDOW switch on P13 forward attendant's panel to BRT and check that lights come on. Position WINDOW switch to OFF.
L. Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-22-0, MP).
5. Test Passenger Compartment Illumination Lights
A. Provide electrical power (Ref 24-22-0, MP).
B. Ensure following circuit breakers are closed on P18-3 panel:

LEFT

NIGHT LIGHTS
