Removal of the HOIST - MINILIFT from the APU compartment
(a)
Hold the HOIST - MINILIFT (10) in position and remove the quick release pin (8) from the bearing assy (7) on the LH side of the APU compoartment.
(b)
Hold the HOIST - MINILIFT (10) in position and remove the quick release pin (2) from the APU hoist bracket (1) on the top firewall of the APU compartment.
(c)
Remove the HOIST - MINILIFT (10) from the APU compartment.
(d)
Install the quick release pins (2) and (8) temporarily on the HOIST - MINILIFT (10).

This are APU'S:
-with P/N 3800278-3 and CHANGE NO. 122 not incorporated.
-before P/N 3800278-3 SERIES NO. 12.
-upto P/N 3800278-3 SERIES NO. 11 CHANGE NO. 122 not incorporated.
(1)
Make sure that the APU is correctly installed and the APU mount nuts are correctly torqued (Ref. TASK 49-11-11-400-001).
(2)
Disconnection of the HOIST - MINILIFT (22) and the SAFETY BELT - APU HOIST from the APU
(a)
Turn the upper drum shaft of the HOIST - MINILIFT (22) in a counterclockwise direction until you have removed the tension from the cable (26).
(b)
Remove the quick release pin (31) and disconnect the shackle (36) from the APU.
(c)
Remove the bolts (29) and (34) from the shackles (28) and (35) and remove the saftey belt (30) from around the APU scroll (25)
(d)
Temorarily install the bolts (29) and (34) in the shackles (28) and (35).
(e)
Remove the qiuck release pin (33) and disconnect the shackle (36) from the cable (26) of the HOIST - MINILIFT (22).
(3)
Removal of the HOIST - MINILIFT from the APU compartment
(a)
Hold the HOIST - MINILIFT (22) in position and remove the quick release pin (23) from the bearing assy (24) on the LH side of the APU compoartment.
(b)
Hold the HOIST - MINILIFT (22) in position and remove the quick release pin (21) from the APU hoist bracket (20) on the top firewall of the APU compartment.
(c)
Remove the HOIST - MINILIFT (22) from the APU compartment.
(d) Install the quick release pins (21) and (23) temporarily on the HOIST - MINILIFT (22). ________

A. Close Access
(1)
Install the APU oil cooler outlet-duct (Ref. TASK 49-52-41-400-001)
(2)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(3)
Close or install the APU access door 315AL (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001) or (Ref. TASK 52-41-21-400-001).
(4)
Set the light switch 11LJ to the off position.
(5)
Close the APU access door 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(6)
Remove the access platform(s). Subtask 49-00-00-865-087
B.
Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD, 1WF, 2WF, 3WF, 4WF.

C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.

De-energize the ground service network (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(2)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(3)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

THE AREA OF THE OIL-COOLER OUTLET.
THERE IS A RISK OF INJURY IF YOU GO INTO THESE AREAS.
CAUTION : DO NOT USE THE APU DURING FLUID DE-ICING OPERATIONS. DE-ICING FLUID
