A. Purge the APU.
(1)
On the panel 25VU, push the APU MASTER SW to the ON position.
(2)
On the panel 25VU, push the APU START switch to the ON position. NOTE : To cancel the motoring cycle, push the APU MASTER SW to the
____
OFF position.
(3)
The starter motor de-energizes after approximately 15 seconds.
(4)
Cancel the motoring cycle when the fuel flow from the disconnected fuel pipe is free of air and/or oil.
(5)
On the panel 25VU, push the APU MASTER SW to the OFF position. Subtask 49-00-00-865-059

A. Remove the blanking cap from the ignition unit.
(1)
Connect the electrical connector P10 to the ignition unit.
(2)
Connect the primary fuel-feed pipe at the primary fuel manifold.
(3)
Remove the fuel drain container.
(4)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(5)
Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position. Subtask 49-00-00-410-052
B.
Close Access
(1)
Close the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(2)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(3)
Remove the access platform(s). Subtask 49-00-00-865-060

Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD.

HORIZONTAL STABILIZER

THE AREA AROUND THE APU AIR-INTAKE: 2m (7ft) AROUND THE INTAKE
-
THE AREA OF THE OIL-COOLER OUTLET.
THERE IS A RISK OF INJURY IF YOU GO INTO THESE AREAS.
CAUTION : DO NOT USE THE APU DURING FLUID DE-ICING OPERATIONS. DE-ICING FLUID
_______ CAN CONTAMINATE THE INSIDE OF THE APU.
CAUTION : DO NOT TRY TO START THE APU A FOURTH TIME UNTIL THE STARTER MOTOR IS
_______ COOL (60 MINUTES MINIMUM). WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU TRY TO START THE APU THREE TIMES, WITH AN INTERVAL OF ONE MINUTE BETWEEN EACH TIME THAT YOU TRY.
CAUTION : DO NOT START THE APU WITH ACCESS DOORS 315AL AND 316AR OPEN/REMOVED.
_______ THE APU FIRE EXTINGUISHER SYSTEM IS NOT SUFFICIENT TO EXTINGUISH A FIRE IF THE ACCESS DOORS 315AL AND 316AR ARE OPEN/REMOVED.
