Install the HOIST - MINILIFT to the APU compartment.
(a)
Remove the temporarily installed quick release pins (2) and (8) from the HOIST - MINILIFT.
(b)
Put the HOIST - MINILIFT (10) in the correct position and attach it with the quick release pin (2) to the APU hoist bracket (1) on the top firewall of the APU compartment.
(c)
Put the HOIST - MINILIFT in the correct position and attach it with the quick release pin (8) to the bearing assy (7) on the LH side of the APU compartment.
(4)
Connection the of the HOIST - MINILIFT cable to the APU
(a)
Connect the shackle (5) to the cable (3) of the HOIST - MINILIFT with the quick release pin (4).
(b)
Connect the shackle (5) with the quick release pin (6) to the adapter of the APU (9).
(5)
Put the weight of the APU from the APU mounts onto the HOIST -MINILIFT.

CAUTION : DO NOT TURN THE HOIST HANDLE MORE THAN 90 DEGREES, AFTER
_______ YOU REMOVE THE SLACK FROM THE HOIST CABLE. IF YOU TURN THE HOIST HANDLE MORE THAN 90 DEGREES, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE APU AND THE APU MOUNTS.
(a) Operate the HOIST - MINILIFT (10) until the weight of the APU is removed from the APU mounts.
NOTE : Do a check and make sure that the HOIST - MINILIFT is
____ assembled and installed correctly and holds the load.
NOTE : Before you install the hoist handle, turn the upper drum
____ shaft of the HOIST - MINILIFT with your hand until you have removed the slack from the hoist cable. Then install the hoist handle on the upper drum shaft and turn the handle 90 degrees in a clockwise direction. Thus you make sure that the weight of the APU is removed from the APU mounts.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the warning notices are on panel 25VU to tell persons not to start the APU.
(2)
Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3)
Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-001), (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-002) and (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(4)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(5)
Make sure that the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001) or removed (Ref. TASK 52-41-21-000-001).
NOTE : The installation of the HOIST - MINILIFT is also possible
____ without a removal of the APU access door 315AL, but a removal will make the installation of the HOIST - MINILIFT easier.
(6)
Make sure that the light switch 11LJ is set to on.
(7)
Make sure that the the oil-cooler outlet duct is removed (Ref. TASK 49-52-41-000-002).
