 Check the slat end step tolerances as follows:

 (a) For the slat 1, measure and write down the slat end step dimensions:
 -
at the inboard end of slat 1 at points 1 and 4 (2 dimensions)

 -
at the outboard end of slat 1 at points 1, 2, 3, and 4 (4 dimensions).


 (b)
 For the slats 2 thru 5, measure and write down the slat end step dimensions at points 1, 2, 3, and 4 (20 dimensions).

 (c)
 Compare the 26 dimensions:


 -21 of the 26 dimensions measured must be between the general tolerance limits given in the table J
 -3 of the 26 dimensions measured can be between the general tolerance limits given in the table J +/- 0.5 mm (0.0196 in.)
 -2 of the 26 dimensions measured can be between the general tolerance limits given in the table J +/- 1.5 mm (0.0590 in.).

 Check the slat upper-trailing edge to 'D' nose step tolerances as follows:

 (a)
 For the slat 1, measure and write down the dimension X at points A, B, C, D and E (5 dimensions).

 (b)
 For the slats 2 thru 5, measure and write down the dimension X at points B, C and D (12 dimensions).

 (c)
 Compare the 17 dimensions X:


 -14 of the 17 dimensions X must be between +/- 0.5 mm (0.0196 in.) of each other
 -3 of the 17 dimensions X can be between +/- 1.0 mm (0.0393 in.) of each other.

 (3)
 Check the slat lower-trailing edge to 'D' nose step tolerances as follows:

 (a)
 For the slat 1, measure and write down the dimension Y at points F, G, H, J and K (5 dimensions).

 (b)
 For the slats 2 thru 5, measure and write down the dimension Y at points F, G and H (12 dimensions).

 (c)
 Compare the 17 dimensions Y:


 -11 of the 17 dimensions Y must be between +/- 1.0 mm (0.0393 in.) of each other
 -4 of the 17 dimensions Y can be between +/- 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.) of each other
 -2 of the 17 dimensions Y can be between +/- 3.0 mm (0.1181 in.) of each other.

 (4)
 Check the slat lower-trailing edge to 'D' nose gap as follows:

 (a)
 For the slat 1, measure the dimension L at points F, G, H, J and

 K.

 (b)
 For the slats 2 thru 5, measure the dimension L at points F, G and H.
