Make sure that the LOCK-TORQUE SHAFT (FLAPS AND SLATS) WITH CLAMP-PIVOT (98D27504030001) is on the applicable torque shaft (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-400-003).

Remove the bolts (38) and the nuts (40).
(2)
Remove the steady bearing (42) from the torque shaft (41) and the nose rib (39).
