Freezing Level
Freezing Level data shows the color-coded contour lines for the altitude and location at which the first isotherm is found. When no data is displayed for a given altitude, the data for that altitude has not been received, or is out of date and has been removed from the display. New data appears at the next update.

Displaying Freezing Level information:
1) Select the Weather Data Link Page with the FMS Knob.
2) Select the MORE WX Softkey.
3) Select the FRZ LVL Softkey.
To display the Freezing Level legend, select the LEGEND Softkey when Freezing Level data is selected to be displayed.

Winds Aloft
Winds Aloft data shows the forecast wind speed and direction at the surface and at selected altitudes. Altitude can be displayed in 3000-foot increments up to 42,000 feet MSL.
Displaying Winds Aloft data:
1) Select the Weather Data Link Page with the FMS Knob.
2) Select the MORE WX Softkey.
3) Select the WIND Softkey.
4) Select the desired altitude level: SFC (surface) up to 42,000 feet. Select the NEXT or PREV Softkey to cycle through the altitude softkeys. The WIND Softkey label changes to reflect the altitude selected.

County Warnings
County data provides specific public awareness and protection weather warnings from the National Weather Service (NWS). This can include information on fires, tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, flood conditions, and other natural disasters.

6.2 Airborne Color Weathereather Radaradar
Systemystem Description
The Garmin GWX 68 Airborne Color Weather Radar is a four-color digital pulsed radar with 6.5 kilowatts of output power. It combines excellent range and adjustable scanning profiles with a high-definition target display. The pulse width is four microseconds (μs) on all ranges except the 2.5 nm range. The GWX 68 uses a one μs pulse width at this range to reduce the targets smearing together on the display for better target definition at close range.
