PF – “CORRECTING”
(CASA requirement now)
REQUIREMENT FOR RETURN AIRPORT
- where the departure airport is below landing minima a Useable
Adequate airport within 1200 nm and 180 mins must be available with a
forecast valid from 30 mins prior to earliest time of use to 30 mins after
latest time of use.
The forecast must be above the landing minima. This applies to non-
ETOPS flights and the non-ETOPS segment of an international flight
(pretty much covers every single flight!)
CREW QUALIFICATIONS
INITIAL QUALIFICATION
CAPT: Take-off as PF with vis 125m
F/O: Take-off as PNF with vis 125m
Take-off as PF with vis 800m
CAPT: landing to CAT 3b
F/O: support to CAT 3b
CAPT:
- low vis training course
- min 300 hrs or 50 sectors as PIC of QF aircraft (with CAT 2 or 3
capability)
- min 100 hrs on type
- min 4 autolands on type in better than CAT 1 conditions – using low vis
procedures
F/O:
- low vis training course
- min 100 hrs or 30 sectors as F/O of QF aircraft (woth CAT 2 or 3
capability)
- min 2 autolands on type (as PNF) in beter than CAT 1 conditions –
using low visibility procedures
CREW RECENCY
PILOT RECENCY
CAPT: completed an autoland in the aircraft or the sim using low visibility
procedures within the last 90 days. Updating recency after 90 days can
be done in the simulator or in the aircraft in better than CAT 1 conditions.
F/O: maintains recency during approved recurrent training.
AIRCRAFT RECENCY
FAM: The 45 day [aircraft recency] requirement is a Flight Operations
requirement. If it expires, there is no dispatch or operational impact.
Nevertheless Flight Crew are expected to maintain autoland recency
within the 45 day window. Monitoring of each aircraft's autoland
performance is a CASA requirement. Without Flight Crew cooperation
this cannot be achieved.
An autoland every 45 days qualifies the a/c for CAT 3 ops. An autoland
should be carried out by the crew within 5 days prior to the expiry data.
An autoland ground test by engineers can requalify the a/c for CAT 3
ops.
Following expired recency an autoland in better CAT 1 can requalify the
a/c for CAT 3 ops. An engineering round test can only requalify the a/c
for CAT 2 ops (the Techlog will be annotated as such).
LoadStar Server Enterprise
The LoadStar Server Enterprise (LSE) application manages the configuration, storage and
electronic distribution of Loadable Software Parts (LSPs). LSE builds on the success of Teledyne’s
LoadStar software in use at over 40 airlines worldwide.
Electronic Distribution and Process Automation
Eliminate media (floppy disks, CDs) through the monthly electronic distribution of navigation
databases and LSPs.
Web-based distribution instantly transfers LSPs to data loaders and directly to the aircraft
via wireless links.
Multi-Function Solution
LSE logs LSP receipt, validation, distribution, loading, and load record keeping, reducing existing
cumbersome procedures. LSE also returns logs, downloads and distributes Quick Access Recorder
(QAR) data to engineering, and tracks delivery progress. Delivery tracking provides operators with
access to near real-time progress reports of the avionics systems and aircraft loaded.
Airline to Aircraft Integration and Delivery
For most airlines, LSE is the missing link in their software part collection and distribution process.
This integrated solution makes it possible to electronically distribute LSPs from desktop to data
loaders across the fleet with a single press of a button.
LSE configuration control supports wireless distribution directly to the aircraft via Teledyne’s
AirLAN and eADL systems.
Secure User Access for Data Integrity
Flight operations, maintenance and engineering personnel can access LSE through their desktop
computer. Full access to LSE is entirely under airline control and only encrypted communications
from authenticated clients are able to gain access to LSE, ensuring data security and integrity.
Manage your Aircraft Data from Desktop to Aircraft with Teledyne
Controls' LoadStar Server Enterprise
LSE
INTEGRATED WITH TELEDYNE DATA LOADERS
LSE interfaces with Teledyne’s eADL, ARINC 615-3 and ARINC 615A data loaders, whether on or off the aircraft
LSE interfaces with Teledyne’s airborne equipment, such as AirLAN and eADL
LSE also transfers data to and from ground support equipment such as ARINC 615-3 and ARINC 615A data loaders
