list as shown in Figure 2–9. All tests in the selected table appear in the Sub Test
Names window; the list of tests will be narrowed when a Test Name Filter has been set, as
demonstrated in Step 3 of the test selection process.

3. In the Test Name Filter fields, type each character in the field(s) corresponding to the
Naming Convention (Section 2.6.1), associated with the desired test selection criteria. (Not
all fields must be used to filter for the desired tests, as demonstrated in the example that
follows; the Sub Test Name window displays only those tests that meet the criteria typed.)
Example:
• If the application requires Table C tests, select Table C in the Test Definitions
drop-down list. (All Table C tests appear in the Sub Test Names window).
• If the specific DUT is a single phase device, type a “1” in the Test Name Filter's
second field from the left, per the Naming Convention. (The Sub Test Names
window now displays all Table C single phase tests).
• If the DUT requires a nominal voltage level, type "N" in the third field from the left.
(The tests are further filtered so that now the Sub Test Names window shows all
Table C single phase Nominal voltage tests).
Figure 2–10 shows the Test Selector interface with this example.

Figure 2–10 Example of Using the Test Name Filter
In this example all single-phase nominal voltage tests and their subtests in Table C will be run.
To continue any additional filtering, type the appropriate character in its associated field as
necessary.
Clicking the Clear Filter button removes the selection criteria from the Test Name Filter and
displays all subtests for the selected Table, in the Sub Test Names window.
If there are custom tests (see Section 2.6.4) associated with any of the subtests, their names
will appear in the Custom Test Files window.

Placing the Tests into the Selected Tests Window
Once the test names have been filtered to the desired grouping, all or some of the tests
may be selected for running. Move the tests into the Selected Tests window by any of
the following methods:
• Double-click one at a time.
• Click one at a time and click the right-pointing single-arrow button.
• Click, hold, and drag one at a time.
• Select a range of tests by holding the Shift key and clicking the first and last
tests in the desired group, and move them all at once either by holding and
dragging or by clicking the right-pointing double-arrow button.
• Select multiple, noncontiguous tests by holding the Control key and clicking
each test, then move them at once either by holding and dragging or by
clicking the right-pointing double-arrow button.
Use the Escape key to stop a large number of tests moving into the Selected Tests Window.
Reordering the Order of the Tests in the Selected Tests Window
Place the tests in a different order by selecting individual tests or a range of tests,
then click either the up-arrow or down-arrow buttons located to the right of the
Selected Tests window.
Removing Tests from the Selected Tests Window
Remove tests from the Selected Tests Window in one of the following ways:
• Select single tests and click the left-pointing single-arrow button.
• Select multiple tests, either in a range (Shift key) or individually (Control key)

2.6.3 Time Duration
In the Selected Tests window, the duration of each test is displayed to assist the user
estimating overall test time. Time is displayed in the format HH:MM:SS:ttt (thousandths of
seconds). Total Duration (scroll to right of the Duration column) for the specific test,
is also displayed for cases where the user modifies the Loop Count to a value greater
than 1.
Figure 2–11 Selected Tests with Time Duration
The total run time of all the loaded tests (sum of Total Duration column) is displayed just
below the Selected Tests grid on the right, under "Total Test Times."
The test(s) can be run at this point, or they can be customized and saved prior to running
(see Section 2.6.4). To run the test(s), click the Execute button to bring up the Test
Executor interface, and then click the Run Tests button.
