The naming convention is also described in tabular format as follows:
Naming Convention for Sequences, Waveforms, and Program Settings
Sequences (file extension .seq)
Place Description
1
Name of Table - A, B, C, D, or E from the ABD0100.1.8 Standard (warm-up
tests - see Place 4 - are built into these tables in the ABD100 Test Suite);
N for non-table tests (in-rush current tests) (see Appendix, Section A.2.3).
2
Number of Phases - either 1 or 3 (1 = 10AC or DC; 3 = 30AC)
WARNING: In AC single-phase mode and in DC mode, the SW will
switch to parallel mode to provide the benefit of maximum
current. Therefore, in AC single-phase and in DC, it is
imperative that the rear output terminal block be wired for
parallel operation. If not, the SW will shut down.
3
Voltage Level - either N for nominal (standard), or L for low (used only for
Nominal minus4-Volt drop, which depends on the DUT's distance from the
power source on the aircraft).
4*
Test Number - use 1 thru 9, or A for test 10 (see Appendix: ABD0100.1.8
Compliance Matrix; see Section 2.6.6 regarding Test 6 for extended test
sequences). Use 0 for warm-up tests (see Appendix, Section A.2.2).
5
Nominal Frequency - 3=360Hz; 4=400Hz; 8=800Hz; D=DC
WARNING: In AC single-phase mode and in DC mode, the SW will
switch to parallel mode to provide the benefit of maximum
current. Therefore, in AC single-phase and in DC, it is
imperative that the rear output terminal block be wired for
parallel operation. If not, the SW will shut down.
6 Separator
7* Subtest - numbered 0 thru 9 for the first ten subtests, and A thru W (not X,
Y, or Z) for 11th thru 33rd subtests
8*
Always 0 to represent test sequences. 1-9 and A-W are used for custom
waveforms within a sequence.
Waveforms (file extension .csv)
The waveform file name matches the name of the sequence to which it belongs, with
the last character place being an iteration of the number of custom waveforms within
that sequence. E.g., if there are eleven waveforms for a sequence named
C1N24-30.seq, they will be named C1N24-31.csv thru C1N24-3B.csv sequentially.
Program Settings (file extension .prg)
Same name as its sequence, but with the program extension .prg.
Table 2–2 Description of Test Sequence Naming Convention
* Note that Test Numbers (except warm-up tests) and Waveforms begin with the number 1, while
Subtests begin with 0.

2.6.2 Using the Test Selector
The Test Selector Interface is used for selecting tests to run. With the Test Definitions
and Test Name Filter features, the user selects and queues tests applicable to the
specific device-under-test (DUT), depending on which tests are available, based on the
license purchased. The Test Definitions feature allows the user to begin the test
definition process by first selecting the Table to be used. The Test Name Filter allows the
user to limit the tests displayed in the Sub Test Names window. This is especially useful
when the library for a particular Table is large, and the specific DUT only requires a small
subset of available tests.
Using the Options Menu
Click the Descriptions On option to display in the Definition Description window a general
description for the selected Table; also, the Sub Test Description window displays the
specific description for whichever test name is highlighted/selected in the Sub Test
Names list.
Click the Remember Settings option to keep a test definition intact so that it is not reset if
there is a need to leave the Test Selector interface (e.g., change Settings in the SWCS
interface) and return to it while still in SWCS. However, once SWCS has been exited and
closed, the selected settings will not be remembered.
Click the About… option to see which version of the Test Suite is installed.

Selecting the Tests
To begin the test selection procedure:
1. Following the Naming Convention described in the preceding Section, determine the type of
tests required for the DUT according to the ABD0100.1.8 Standard. (Consolidated
descriptions of Tables and Tests, i.e., Compliance Matrix, may be found in the Appendix of
this manual).
2. Select the applicable Table name (A through E or Table N) from the Test Definitions dropdown
