3. Revert to RADIO navigation if VOR available (NDB)

4. Ask for radar assistance if available

5. If not fly MAG TRK using bird-in-cage.  PNF keeps FD and monitors RHOMBUS in ND

6. Inform ATC of the degraded navigation performance

7. Best IRS on PPOS

8. Check CBs (Resetting of FMS CBs permitted)

9. Look for next WPT at RETA – 2 mts, for subsequent WPTs calculate ETA with distance and GS available.

10. To check DRIFT – on E-W +/-30 tracks note the LONG of the next WPT and when crossing the exact Long note the LAT from the ISDU.  Every 1’ diff from the WPT LAT is 1 mile drift (L or R).  For N-S +/-30 Hdgs reverse the order.  On other headings take a LAT or LONG reading while crossing the actual LONG or LAT of the WPT.  Revise ETAs accordingly.

11. While the PNF notes the LAT/LONG the PF must turn on to the next track to avoid additional drift specially, if a turn is involved.

12. Check GS.  For every mile of drift correct by 1 deg (L or R) and fly for 60 miles. eg. 480 Kts = 8 nm/min and in 7.5 min 60 miles would be covered.  At the end of 7.5 min turn to original track.  (2 deg for 30 miles or 3:45 min could also be used).

13. Avoid weather by DOG LEG or by flying parallel track – use GS to ensure equal displacement L and R.

14. In case large drift is noticed fly parallel track and recheck at the next WPT

15. Nearing destination / VOR revert to radio nav
16. During flights, must routinely: note best IRS
           tune NDB/VOR
         set MAG TRK in CRS window

LOSS OF BOTH ENGINE GENERATORS

Confirm it is not a both engine flame out by checking N1 and EGT, which will be normal.

Carryout the checklist

In case this occurs during T/O, do not retract gear (conditions permitting), so as to avoid the need to subsequently extend gear manually in case of an immediate landing.
To distinguish from both engine Flame out:
      Check.  EGT > 3000 C
       Response of Engine  ( N1 ) to throttle movement
- Controls with CM1, inform ATC "Loss of Elect. Pwr"
- To confirm STAND BY GEN. operation, check
