THE INJECTION SEAL IS COMPLETE WHEN THE SEALANT GOES THROUGH TO THE OTHER END USE YOUR FINGER OR A SPATULA TO STOP THE FLOW OF THE SEALANT AT THE OTHER END THE SEALANT MUST COMPLETELY FILL THE SLOT

Do the Prepare for Sealing task.

Apply the sealant on all the tool and coordination holes that are not riveted (Fig. 202).

Apply the sealant on the rivets in fully sealed areas.

Apply a hole filling compound to the pressure side of the hole.

 (5)  
Apply the masking tape on the large slots and holes.

 (6)  
Remove the masking tape after the sealant is mixed.

 (3)  S 392-038-B00Put the nozzle end into the seam.
 (4)  S 212-039-B00Make sure the sealant is applied in a straight line (Fig. 203).
 (5)  S 392-040-B00Push the bead of the sealant forward of the nozzle head.
 (6)  S 212-041-B00Push the sealant tightly into its position with the fairing tool. Make sure you get a smooth fillet.
