FLOOR TRACK CORROSION PREVENTION - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains one task. The task is to prevent floor track against corrosion.
B. The floor track corrosion usually is below the galleys, the galley work areas, or other limited lengths of the floor track areas that are easy to have corrosion.

Clean the floor tracks that have corrosion prevention materials (CPM 20-40-00, Corrosion Prevention Manual).

Apply the alodine 1200 and BMS 10-11 epoxy primer on all the cleaned areas of the floor track.
NOTE: You can use aluminized epoxy primer as an alternative to

BMS 10-11 primer.

Apply the sealant on the fastener heads of the floor track.

Use the sealant to make dams on the floor tracks at the end of the cleaned areas and approximately 6 inches apart at the galley tie-down well locations.

NOTE: You can make the filler from BAC1522-148 extrusion, or the
