1. General_______
A. One task is supplied in this procedure. The task is dragged engine nacelle, engine seizure, engine and strut, thrust reverser damaged conditional inspection.
B. This section examines the engine and nacelle strut after one of these incidents:
(1)
Dragged Engine Nacelle
(2)
Engine Seizure
(3)
Other Engine Damage
(4)
Other Nacelle Strut Damage
C. Other engine damage refers to incidents which cause unusual engine vibration, for example, the fan blade loss or other engine items.
D. Other nacelle strut damage refers to incidents which cause damage to the nacelle strut or the cowling, for example, dents caused by contact with ground equipment.

Examine these areas for buckling, cracks, pulled fasteners, fasteners which are not there, and other unusual external conditions:

Nacelle Strut Doors
(c)
Lower Surface of the Nacelle Cowlings

Open the nacelle cowlings.

Examine these items for cracks, signs of offset deformation, or peening of pins and/or bushings (AMM 54-42-11/201, 54-42-12/201).

ALL of the Engine Mounts
(b)
ALL of the Points where the Nacelle Strut Attaches to the Wing
(c)
Fittings on all sides
(d)
Nacelle Strut Upper Link-to-Wing Fitting Pins
(e)
Nacelle Strut Upper Link-to-Wing Fuse Pins

Examine all other primary structure, wing fittings, and the front spar for distortion, cracks, flaking paint, pulled fasteners, loose fasteners, and fasteners which are not there.

Examine thrust reverser areas for buckling, cracks, pulled fasteners, fasteners which are not there and other unusual external conditions.
