Use approved cleaning agents and disinfectants when you clean areas where blue water contamination has occurred. (AMM 20-30-31/201).

If blue water is found in the aft lavatory area, do the the steps that follow:
(a) Remove laying blue water from all surfaces.
NOTE: Most of the blue water should drain out of the airplane
____ through the floor drains and the waste water system.
WARNING: DO NOT USE TOO MUCH FRESH WATER TO REMOVE THE BLUE STAIN
_______ BECAUSE ADDITIONAL WATER COULD CAUSE POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT. THIS CAN RESULT IN AN UNWANTED EFFECT ON THE FLIGHT SAFETY OF THE AIRPLANE.
(b)
Use clean fresh water to dilute contaminated areas of the blue stain.
(c)
Use a clean moisture-free cloth or a sponge to fully dry all surfaces.
(d)
Use a dry air supply to fully to remove additional moisture from the contaminated areas which are difficult to touch.
(e)
If there are surface areas which remain with a blue stain, make a record of the precise location.
NOTE: A record of a stain area can help to find the cause of
____ a possible new leak of blue water, should a leak occur in the future.

(f) If there are signs of blue water on the toilet tank, make sure you remove all blue water from the toilet tank and all related components and connections.
NOTE: It is important that all blue stains are removed from
____ the area. This will help when you do accurate visual inspections in the future.

AIRPLANES WITH NON MODULAR LAVATORIES INSTALLED; If you find signs of blue water in the catch basin, make sure all blue water and related stains are removed and the catch-basin drain system is free from blockage.
