C. Procedure

(1) Make sure these overhead P11 panel circuit breakers are open:
(a)
11J7, FLIGHT RECORDER AC
(b)
11J8, FLIGHT RECORDER DC

CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONDUCTORS ON THE
_______ FDAU. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FDAU.
(2) Install the FDAU to the E3-3 equipment rack (AMM 20-10-01/401).
D. FDAU Test

(1) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these P11 panel circuit breakers:

11J7, FLIGHT RECORDER AC
(b)
11J8, FLIGHT RECORDER DC

(2) Supply the electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201). GUN GUN S 864-040 GUN (3) GUN 001-008, 010, 101 PRE-EO B531006;

Do the steps that follow:
(a) Make sure that the SYSTEM light on the FDEP are on.
(b) Set the function switch on the flight data entry panel to the
TEST position.
(c) Make sure that the SYSTEM light on the flight data entry panel
goes off.
(d) Release the function switch on the flight data entry panel.

Do the steps that follow:
(a) Make sure that the OFF light on the flight recorder control
panel is on.
(b) Set the function switch on the flight recorder control panel to
the TEST position.
(c) Make sure that the OFF light on the flight recorder control
panel goes off.
(d) Release the function switch on the flight recorder control
panel.

BITE Fault Code Display

(1) Move the switch to the left to search for active DFDAU errors.
(a) The lamp test lasts approximately 0.5 seconds. All segments of
the display will come on and the DFDAU BITE and DFDR LED's will
