PASSENGER CONTROL UNIT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. A passenger control unit (PCU) is in the arm-rest of each passenger seat. The removal and installation procedures are almost the same for all units.

2. Remove the Passenger Control Unit (PCU)_______________________________________(Fig. 401)

Turn the PES switch to OFF on the forward attendant's panel, P21, and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

Remove the attachment screw from the PCU.

(3)
Remove the PCU from the seat armrest.

(4)
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the PCU.

C. Procedure
(1) S 434-014Connect the electrical connectors to the PCU.
(2) S 424-047Install the PCU in the seat armrest.
D. S 434-049 (3) Install the attachement screw.Passenger Control Unit (PCU) Installation Test
(1) S 864-075Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).
(2) S 864-077Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag, and turn the PES switch to ON, at the forward attendant panel, P21.
E. S 714-078 (3) Make sure the channel display comes on at the installed PCU.Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
(1) S 864-074Turn the PES switch to OFF.
(2) S 864-043Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00/201).
