(1) Do the steps that follow to do a test of the PA:
(a) Do these steps on the CDU at the video control center: 1) Push the PA switch to the on position. 2) Set the PA SELECT switch to the CH 1 position. 3) Turn the PA VOLUME control clockwise to the middle
position. a) Make sure clear video audio is heard over the PA system speakers. b) Make sure the volume level changes as the PA VOLUME switch on the CDU is turned. 4) Set the PA SELECT switch to the CH 2 position. a) Make sure clear video audio is still heard on the PA system speakers.
K. GUN 102-999; Passenger Address (PA) Audio Test

(1) Do the steps that follow to do the test of the PA audio:
(a)
Push the SYST PWR switch on at the SCU (the light comes on). 1) Make sure the POWER light on the VTRs come on.
(b)
Insert a video test tape into VTR-1.
(c)
Touch CONT on the SCU.
(d)
Touch each airplane zone on the SCU.
(e)
Touch VIDEO 1 on the SCU.
(f)
Push the EXEC switch on the SCU. 1) Make sure a clear video signal shows on all the monitors.

Make sure you can hear the video audio from the PA system.
(h)

L. GUN 102-999; Passenger Control Unit Test

(1) Do these steps to do a test of the passenger control unit:
(a)
Make sure the video system is on.
(b)
Connect a headset to a PCU.
1) Make sure you can hear the video audio on channels 1 and 2 of the PCU.
(c)
Disconnect the headset from the PCU.

(2) Do the same PCU test for all the PCUs in the passenger compartment.
M. Decompression Mode Test
S 735-008
(1) Do these steps to do a test of the decompression mode:
(a)
Make sure the video system is on.
(b)
Open these circuit breakers on the overhead circuit breaker panel, P11, and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: 1) 11A21, PASSENGER OXYGEN LEFT 2) 11A23, PASSENGER OXYGEN RIGHT
(c)
Lift the guard and push the PASS OXY switch on the pilots' overhead panel, P5. 1) Make sure the light in the PASS OXY switch comes on. 2) Make sure the video system goes off.
(d)
Open and then close this circuit breaker on the overhead circuit breaker panel, P11: 1) 11A24, PASSENGER OXYGEN CONTROL 2) Make sure the light in the PASS OXY switch goes off.
