SYSTEM CONTROL UNIT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. The first task removes the system control unit. The second task installs the unit and does a test of the installation.
B. The system control unit is in the video control center. It attaches to the support pallet in the control center by an adapter plate on the bottom of the unit.

(1) Open this circuit breaker on the overhead circuit breaker panel, P11, and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:

(2) Open these circuit breakers on the right miscellaneous electrical equipment panel, P37, and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

D. System Control Unit Removal

GUN 102-199;
Remove the system control unit (Ref 20-10-01/401).

(2)
GUN 008-101; Do these steps at the video control center to remove the SCU.
(a)
Remove 2 screws along the front edge of the SCU adapter plate.
(b)
Lift the front of the SCU a little, and pull forward to release the tab from the slot near the rear of the unit.
(c)
Remove the electrical connectors from the rear of the SCU.
(d)
Remove the SCU from the video control center.
(e)
Remove the adapter plate from the bottom of the SCU (4 screws).
(f)
Keep the adapter plate, and hardware, to install the unit later.
