D. Video Tape Reproducer Removal

GUN 102-199; Remove the video tape reproducer (Ref 20-10-01/401).

GUN 008-101; Do these steps at the video control center to remove the VTR.
(a)
Remove 2 screws along the front edge of the VTR adapter plate.
(b)
Lift the front of the VTR a little, and pull forward to release the tab from the slot near the rear of the unit.
(c)
Remove the electrical connectors from the rear of the unit.
(d)
Remove the VTR from the video control center.
(e)
Remove the adapter plate from the bottom of the VTR (4 screws).
(f)
Keep the adapter plate, and hardware, to install the unit later.

GUN 008-101; Do these steps to install the video tape reproducer.
(a)
Attach the adapter plate on the bottom of the VTR (4 screws).
(b)
Put the VTR on the shelf of the video control center.
(c)
Attach the electrical connectors on the rear of the VTR.
(d)
Move the VTR back into the usual position on the shelf.
(e)
Lift the front of the VTR a little, and move it until the adapter plate tab behind the VTR catches the slot in the shelf.
(f)
Install 2 screws along the front edge of the adapter plate.
D. Video Tape Reproducer Installation Test

(1) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker on the overhead circuit breaker panel, P11:

VIDEO DISTRIBUTION UNIT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General

A. This procedure has two tasks. The first task removes the video distribution unit (VDU). The second task installs the VDU and does a test of the installation.

2. Video Distribution Unit Removal

A. General
(1) Access to the VDU may require removal of a video monitor, a sculptured ceiling panel and an insulation blanket. Refer to the Wiring Diagram Manual (WDM) 23-32-XX for VDU quantity, location and equipment number.
