AIRPLANES WITH LORAL/FAIRCHILD TAPE BASED VOICE RECORDER; Make sure that you hear a modulated sound in the headphone while the TEST switch is pushed.

AIRPLANES WITH LORAL/FAIRCHILD SOLID STATE VOICE RECORDER; Make sure that you hear four modulated sounds in the headphone while the TEST switch is pushed.
(d)
Make sure that the meter needle on the voice-recorder control panel reads in the green area.
