(b) Push the POWER switch on at each video tape reproducer (VTR).

(1) Play a tape in the video tape reproducer:
CAUTION: LET THE VTR AUTOMATICALLY WORK THE CASSETTE, WHEN YOU PUT
_______ IT IN. IF YOU USE FORCE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VTR OR TO THE CASSETTE.
(a)
Put a tape cassette into the VTR.
(b)
Push the PLAY button on the VTR.

(2) Operate the system control unit (SCU) to route video to all
monitors:
(a)
Push the MONITOR SEL button until the indicators show VTR 1 PRI 1.
(b)
Push the FWD MON PWR ON button.
(c)
Push the SOURCE SEL FWD button until the indicators show VTR 1.

(3) Make sure the video system operates:
(a)
Make sure the VTR plays the video tape.
(b)
Make sure the SCU routes video to the monitors.
(c)
Make sure the preview monitor shows the video tape.
NOTE: The picture is black and white only.

(d)
Make sure the picture on each monitor in the passenger compartment is clear and bright.
(e)
Listen for clear VTR sound: 1) Connect a headset into the monitor jack on the control unit.
2) Make sure the VTR sound is clear and that it relates to the picture shown on the video monitor.

F. GUN 102-999; BITE Test

(1) Do the steps that follow at the SCU to do the BITE test.
(a)
Push the SYST PWR switch to the off position and wait more than 10 seconds.
(b)
Push and hold the EXEC, PREV and MENU switches.
(c)
Push the SYST PWR switch to the on position.
(d)
Release the switches.
NOTE: The SCU display is clear until the BITE test is done.

1) Make sure the display shows OK for all LRUs.
NOTE: If OK is replaced by NG for any item, push the SYST
____ PWR switch-light to off and troubleshoot the system.
(e) Push the SYST PWR switch to off then on to stop the test.

(1) Play a tape in the video tape reproducer:

(2) Operate the system control unit (SCU) to remotely control the VTR and to route video to all monitors:
(a)
Push the CONT symbol.
(b)
Touch ZONE A and ZONE B.
(c)
Touch VIDEO 1 (or VIDEO 2, as applicable).
(d)
Touch PA.
(e)
Push the ENTER PREV switch.
(f)
Touch VIDEO 1 (or VIDEO 2, as applicable).
(g)
Touch the REW symbol.
