WARNING:_______ DO NOT PUT GROUND EQUIPMENT UNDER THE WINGTIPS DURING THE FUELING OPERATION. THE WINGS MOVE DOWN UNDER THE WEIGHT OF THE FUEL AND THE WINGTIPS MOVE THE MOST. BECAUSE THE FUEL TANKS ARE VENTED THROUGH THE WINGTIPS, A DANGEROUS AND EXPLOSIVE MIXTURE AROUND THE WINGTIP CAN OCCUR.
DO NOT OPERATE THE HF COMMUNICATION SYSTEM OR THE WEATHER RADAR DURING FUELING OPERATIONS.
IF A FUEL LEAKAGE OCCURS DURING REFUELING, DO NOT DO THE APU SHUTDOWN PROCEDURE. SUDDEN SHUTDOWN OF THE APU WHILE IT IS ON, CAN CAUSE A PRESSURE SURGE OF BURNING GASES OUT OF THE APU. THE BURNING GASES CAN CAUSE A FIRE OR EXPLOSION.
DO NOT START OR STOP THE APU DURING THE REFUELING OPERATION. AN EXPLOSION CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:_______ DO NOT USE MORE THAN 55 PSI FUEL PRESSURE AT THE FUELING NOZZLE. IF YOU USE MORE THAN 55 PSI FUEL PRESSURE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FUELING SYSTEM COMPONENTS.
(3) Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201). (a) If you use the APU as a power source, do these steps: 1) Make sure the APU is started and running before you connect the fueling source to the airplane. 2) Obey the Limits for the operation of the APU (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(4) S 013-029Open the fueling station door, 621GB.
(5) S 213-030Make sure the fueling panel light comes on.
NOTE:____ The fueling panel light shows that there is 28v dc power at the fueling control panel.
(a) If the fueling panel light does not come on, put the battery power switch in the BAT position.
ú ú ú ú ú (6) S 493-074Connect the fueling nozzles to one or two of the fueling adapters:NOTE: The 757 aircraft does not have a fuel jettison system,____therefore fuel adapter caps are not required to be installedon the fuel adapters. (a) Make sure there are no fuel leaks.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE REFUEL RECEPTACLE ADAPTER IS CLEAN AND NOT
_______ DAMAGED. A DAMAGED ADAPTER CAN CAUSE A FUEL LEAK. A FUEL LEAK CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b)
Make sure the refuel receptacle adapter is clean and not damaged (Fig. 301).
(c)
Connect the fueling nozzles to one or two of the fueling adapters.

Set the power source at the battery power switch at fueling control panel, P28.

Push the TEST IND switch to do a test on the load select indicators.

Make sure the top and bottom displays of the load select indicators show all eights (8).

Push and release each fueling valve light. Make sure each fueling valve light comes on and then goes off.

If the displays on the load select indicators are not clear, push the SET switch to make the displays clear and to set the manual fueling mode.

Start the fueling source.

To open the fueling shutoff valves, do the steps that follow:
(a)
Put the applicable fueling valve switches to the FUEL position.
(b)
Make sure the applicable blue fueling valve lights come on.
(c)
If you can not open the applicable fueling shutoff valves electrically, push the OVERFILL RESET switch.
