(9) If the pressure value shown on the indicator or on the cylinder gages is 50 psi (344.7 kPa) or less, do the steps that follow:
CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY TOO MUCH TORQUE WHEN YOU CLOSE THE SHUTOFF
_______ VALVES. DAMAGE TO THE TORQUE VALVES WILL OCCUR IF YOU APPLY TOO MUCH TORQUE.
(a) Close all the shutoff valves.
NOTE: Do not apply more than 25 pound-inches (2.8 newton
____ meters) of torque. Turn valve in the clockwise direction.
CAUTION: TO PREVENT CONTAMINATION IN THE OXYGEN SYSTEM, MAKE SURE
_______ THE SUPPLEMENTAL GAGE IS CLEAN. IT MUST BE FREE OF PETROLEUM, HYDRAULIC FLUID, OIL, GREASE, AND DIRT.
(b) Install the supplemental pressure gage at a satisfactory location in the high pressure oxygen line.
CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY TOO MUCH TORQUE WHEN YOU OPEN THE SHUTOFF
_______ VALVES. YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VALVES IF YOU APPLY TOO MUCH TORQUE.
(c) Slowly open all the shutoff valves for the passenger oxygen system.
NOTE: Do not apply more than 25 pound-inches (2.8 newton
____ meters) of torque. Turn the valve in a counter clockwise direction.
(d) If the pressure shown on the supplemental pressure gage is less than 5 psig (34.5 kPa), do the steps that follow:
CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY TOO MUCH TORQUE WHEN YOU CLOSE THE
_______ SHUTOFF VALVES. IF YOU APPLY TOO MUCH TORQUE, YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VALVES.
1) Close all the shutoff valves for the oxygen cylinders.
NOTE: Do not apply more than 25 pound-inches (2.8 newton
____ meters) of torque. Turn the valve in a clockwise direction.
2) Remove the supplemental pressure gage and put the high pressure line back to a serviceable condition.
