A. Reset the DU
(1) On the CAPT LIGHTING/LOUD SPEAKER control panel (301VU):
- turn the PFD potentiometer to the OFF position then to the BRT middle position. If the DISPLAY SYSTEM VERSION INCONSISTENCY message is not shown on the CAPT PFD DU
- no maintenance action is necessary.
(a) If the DISPLAY SYSTEM VERSION INCONSISTENCY message is shown on the CAPT PFD DU
- do the following test.
B. Test
- Do the EIS System Test (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-740-004)
4. Fault Isolation

A. If the test gives the maintenance message INVALID LRU IDENT:
- Do the LRU Identification Check (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-740-011)
(1) Make sure that the EIS software P/N of the CAPT PFD DU is the same as the EIS software P/N on the microdisk that is in the storage box.
(a) If the part numbers are the same:
- replace the PFD-CAPT (2WT1) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-22-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-22-400-001)
(b) If the part numbers are not the same:
- do the crossloading of the DMC1 to the CAPT PFD DU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-610-001)
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.A
