A. Job Set-up
(1) Do the EIS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(2) When the images come into view on the six display units:
- set the ECAM/ND XFR selector switch (19WT) on the panel 8VU to CAPT.
B. Test
Make sure that the transfer is not possible.
4. Fault Isolation

R **ON A/C 001-049, 051-099, 101-149, 151-199, 201-299, 301-399,
A. If the EIS DMC selector switch (18WT) is at NORM and if you cannot get the ECAM DU image on the CAPT ND:
- replace the SEL SW-ECAM/ND XFR (19WT).
(1) If the fault continues:
- do a check for a ground signal at pins AB/4B, 8J of the DMC1 (1WT1).
(a) If there is no ground signal:
- do a check for a ground signal at pin 5 of the ECAM/ND XFR selector switch (19WT).
1 If there is no ground signal:
_
- repair the wiring from ECAM/ND XFR selector switch (19WT) pin 5 to the ground terminal (Ref. ASM 31-68/03).
2 If there is a ground signal:
_
- do a check and repair the wiring from ECAM/ND XFR selector switch (19WT) pin 6 to DMC1 (1WT1) pin AB/4B, 8J.
(b) If there is a ground signal:
- replace the DMC-1 (1WT1) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-400-001) (Ref. ASM 31-68/03).
B. If the EIS DMC selector switch (18WT) is at CAPT/3 and if you cannot get the ECAM DU image on the CAPT ND:
- replace the SEL SW-ECAM/ND XFR (19WT).
(1) If the fault continues:
- do a check for a ground signal at pin AB/4B of the DMC3 (1WT3).
(a) If there is no ground signal:
- do a check for a ground signal at pin 5 of the ECAM/ND XFR selector switch (19WT).
1 If there is no ground signal:
_
- repair the wiring from ECAM/ND XFR selector switch (19WT) pin 5 to the ground terminal (Ref. ASM 31-68/03).
2 If there is a ground signal:
_
- do a check and repair the wiring from ECAM/ND XFR selector switch (19WT) pin 6 to DMC3 (1WT3) pin AB/4B.
(b) If there is a ground signal:
- do a check for a ground signal at pin AB/8J of the DMC3 (1WT3).
1 If there is no ground signal:
_
- do a check for a ground signal at pin 13 of the EIS DMC selector switch (18WT).
a If there is no ground signal:
_
- repair the wiring from EIS DMC selector switch (18WT) pin 13 to the ground terminal.
b If there is a ground signal:
_
- do a check and repair the wiring from ECAM/ND XFR selector switch (19WT): . pin 16 to EIS DMC selector switch (18WT) pin 16 . pin 13 to DMC3 (1WT3) pin AB/8J.
2 If there is a ground signal:
_
- replace the DMC-3 (1WT3) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-400-001).
R **ON A/C 401-499,
A. If the EIS-DMC selector switch (18WT) is at NORM and you cannot get the image on the CAPT ND DU:
- do a check for a ground signal at the pin AE-4D of the DMC1 (1WT1)
(1) If there is a ground signal:
- replace the DMC-1 (1WT1) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-400-001).
(2) If there is no ground signal :
- do a check and repair the wiring from the pin AE-4G of the DMC1 (1WT1) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 31-68/01)
B. If the EIS-DMC selector switch (18WT) is at CAPT/3 and you cannot get the image on the CAPT ND DU:
