4. Optional Ground Support Equipment for the Fuel Quantity Indicating System

and Fuel Level Sensing System.
GENERAL
The PSDA321-1 Test Set, PSDA321-2 and PSDA321-3 Interface Units, and
associated cables are used to support the Simmonds Fuel Quantity Indicating
System (FQIS) and the Fuel Level Sensing System (FLSS) installed on the
aircraft. When used together with the PSD30-2 Universal DC Fuel Quantity
Test Set, these units allow complete testing of all tank mounted components
and aircraft wiring associated with the FQIS and FLSS.
PSDA321-1 TEST SET
The PSDA321-1 Test Set allows access to and provides test capability of all
tank mounted Temperature sensors, Level sensors, and Ultracomps, and also
will allow access to the fuel quantity probes for measurement using the
PSD30-2 Universal DC Capacitance Test Set. The Ultracomp operation is
checked for functionality and valid resistor values. The Temperature sensors
and Level sensors are checked for valid resistance values. The condition of
these parameters are annunciated using LEDs to indicate a PASS/FAIL
condition.
Includes PSDA321-107 Interconnect Cable to connect to PSDA321-2 or
PSDA321-3.
PSDA321-100 CABLE SET
Allows PSDA321-1 to be connected at the tank wall connectors to provide
direct access to the tank mounted components and tank wiring.
Consists of the following cables:
- PSDA321-101, Wing Tank Group A
- PSDA321-102, Wing Tank Group B
- PSDA321-103, Surge Tank
- PSDA321-104, Center Tank Group A
- PSDA321-105, Center Tank Group B.
PSDA321-2 FLSCU BREAKOUT UNIT
Used with the PSDA321-1 Test Set to allow all testing to be preformed at the
FLSCU rack connector.
PSDA321-3 FQIC BREAKOUT UNIT
Used with the PSDA321-1 Test Set to allow all testing to be preformed at the
FQIC rack connector.
PSDA321-4 DISCRETE INDICATION SWITCH UNIT (DISU)
Used with the PSDA321-2 to simulate relay closures which are normally output
from the FLSCU. It can also be used with the PSDA321-3 to display the status
of the discrete outputs which come from the FLSCU.
PSD30-2 UNIVERSAL DC CAPACITANCE TEST SET - For aircraft equipped with
Simmonds Precision DC fuel systems.
The PSD30-2 Universal DC Capacitance Test Set is a highly accurate test set
with the capability to calibrate and test a DC capacitance type fuel
quantity measuring system (wet or dry).
The Test Set performs three basic functions:
