R status is displayed using LEDs. Thermistor condition displays indicate
R DRY/WET/SHORT/OPEN. The condition of the Resistance Temperature Detectors
R (RDT) are indicated by LEDs for COOL/DRY/SHORT/OPEN.
R Includes interface cables to access FLSS at the tank wall connectors.

R PSDA320-3 FLSS TEST SET - AT FLSCU
R The PSDA320-3 Test Set allows access from the electronics rack by removing
R one of the FLSCUs and inserting the PSDA320-3. This allows testing of the
R thermistors and RTDs used in the FLSS, the aircraft wiring to the tank, as
R well as tank wiring. The test set also provides relay closures to simulate
R FLSCU relay outputs.
R Includes remote control unit connected by a five-metre cable.

R PSDA320-4 FQS INTERFACE UNIT - AT WING
R The PSDA320-4 Interface Unit allows testing of all tank mounted components
R of the Fuel Quantity Indicating System (FQIS) on the aircraft.
R Interconnecting cables route the signals from the tank under test to the
R PSDA320-4 Interface Unit. Individual tank unit probes can then be selected
R for measurement using the PSDA320-2A Universal DC Capacitance Test Set.
R Total tank capacitance can be read by selecting all tank unit probes
R (excluding compensators) simultaneously.
R Includes interface cables to access the FQIS at the tank wall connectors.

R PSDA320-5 FQS INTERFACE UNIT - AT FQIC
R The PSDA320-5 Interface Unit is used with the PSDA320-4 to allow FQIS
R testing to performed at the Fuel Quantity Indicating Computer (FQIC) rack
R connector. The PSDA320-5 is inserted in place of the FQIC, and an
R interconnecting cable routes the signals from the tank under test to the
R PSD-4 Interface Unit. Individual tank units can then be selected for
R measurement and display on the PSD30-2A Universal DC Capacitance Test Set.

R PSD30-2A UNIVERSAL DC CAPACITANCE TEST SET - For aircraft equipped with
R Smiths Industries DC fuel systems.
R The PSD30-2A Universal DC Capacitance Test Set is a highly accurate test set
R with the capability to calibrate and test a DC capacitance type fuel
R quantity measuring system (wet or dry).
R The Test Set performs three basic functions:

3. Tank Units DC Capacitance Values (Simmonds FQIS)

The DC capacitance values in Table 304A below have been included to enable the technician to appreciate the range of values possible on the CFDS(FUEL), Input Parameters, page 2.
NOTE : If the probe was submerged in fuel immediately before the value is
____ checked it will be 0.36% larger than the MEAN THEORETICAL VALUE (MTV) shown. After one hour the value will decrease to 0.15% larger than the MTV. This later value will stay constant for approximately sixty hours in a sealed empty tank.
NOTE : The values shown for fuel probes with a full tank are given as an aid
____
only. These values will change with:
- the permittivity of the fuel in the cell/tank
