E. Install the Filter Module (Fig. 401)

Clean the surfaces of the filter module which touch the bracket that holds the filter module.

Remove the caps from the ports of the filter module.

Do these steps to install the check valve or union in the pressure inlet port of the filter module:
(a)
Apply hydraulic lubricant or hydraulic fluid to the new O-ring and the threads of the check valve or union.
(b)
Install the check valve or union and the new O-ring in the pressure inlet port of the filter module.
(c)
Tighten the check valve to 340-380 pound-inches.
