D. Fuel Flow Indicator
The fuel flow indicator is part of the engine integrated display unit. The display unit is mounted in the instrument panel, right side. A transducer in the engine fuel system senses the fuel flow and the value is displayed in display unit.
E. Fuel Pressure Indicators
The fuel pressure indicator is part of the engine integrated display unit. A transducer in the engine fuel system senses the fuel pressure and the value is displayed in the display unit. Another transducer in the system operates a warning light in the central warning panel when the fuel pressure drops below the minimum permissible pressure.
F. Manifold Pressure Indicator
The manifold pressure indicator is part of the engine integrated display unit. A transducer attached to the manifold pressure hose senses the manifold pressure and the value is displayed in the display unit.
G. Air Intake
The air intake is part of the engine bottom-cowling. It is in the center of the bottom cowling and air flows from atmosphere directly into the air filter assembly.
H. Air Filter Assembly
The air filter is of the corrugated paper type and is located on the front of the alternate air assembly. You cannot clean the air filter. If the air filter becomes dirty or damaged you must replace it.

Trouble-Shooting
1. General
The table below lists the defects you could have with the engine fuel and control system. It only gives you the data for the air intake and filter assembly. For more data on trouble-shooting the engine fuel and control system refer to the Lycoming Maintenance Manual. If you have the trouble detailed in the Trouble column read across to the Possible Cause column. Then do the repair given in the Repair column.

Loss of engine power.  Blocked air intake. Dirty/Damaged air filter.  Examine the air intake. Remove any obstructions. Replace the air filter.

Maintenance Practices
1. General
This section tells you how to remove/Install the air filter and how to remove/install the fuel injector. For more data on the engine fuel and control system refer to the Lycoming Maintenance Manual.
2. Remove/Install the Engine Air Filter
A. Remove the Engine Air Filter.

WARNING: DO NOT STAND WITHIN THE DANGER AREA OF THE PROPELLER IF THE ENGINE STARTS, THE PROPELLER CAN CAUSE DEATH OR INJURY TO PERSONS. WARNING: YOU MUST MAKE SURE THAT THE ENGINE IS SAFE BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE. IF THE PROPELLER TURNS IT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS. 
(1)  Make sure that the engine is safe: S Set the ignition switch to OFF. S Set the throttle control to IDLE. S Set the mixture control lever to LEAN CUT-OFF. 
(2)  Remove the engine cowlings.  Refer to Section 71-10. 
(3)  Disconnect the airplane battery.  Refer to Section 24-31. 
(4)  Disconnect the spark plug cables from the spark plugs. 
(5)  Loosen the worm drive clamp that holds the air filter to air filter housing. 
(6)  Pull the air filter forward and clear of the air filter housing.
