(45)  Disconnect the oil pipe for the oil pressure sensor at the engine crank-case.  Remove spilt oil. 
(46)  Remove the cylinder-head temperature-probe from the bottom of the cylinder head: S Disconnect the electrical cables at the in-line connectors. S Remove the probe from its holder. S Remove the cable-ties/P-clamps which hold the cables for the cylinder-head temperature probe in position.  Do this item for each cylinder-head temperature-probe. Note the location of the cable-ties/P-clamps.

(47)  Disconnect the electrical cables from these components: S The generator (5 cables). S The starter motor (1 cable). S Fuel pressure sensors (2 cables). S Oil temperature sensor. S Fuel flow sensor. S RPM sensor. Remove the P-clamps and cable-ties from the right-hand side of the engine. Move the cables clear of  At the in-line connector. Note the locations of the P-clamps and the cable-ties! 
(48)  Disconnect the manifold pressure pipe from the No. 4 cylinder inlet manifold. Release the P-clamp from the rear of the No. 4 cylinder head. 
(49)  Disconnect the earth cable from the engine: S Remove the bolt and washer which attaches the cable eye-end to the engine. 
WARNING: DO NOT GO UNDER THE ENGINE WHILE IT IS HELD BY THE ENGINE HOIST. IF THE HOIST FAILS, THE ENGINE CAN FALL AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS. 
(50)  Attach the engine hoist to the engine.  At the top of the engine. At the lifting shackles. 
Note: The hoist must hold the weight of the engine. The weight of the engine is 150 kg (330 lb). If the propeller and spinner are fitted the total weight is 172 kg (378 lb). 
(51)  Adjust the hoist to “take the weight” of the engine.

(52)  Remove the engine-mounting-bolts: S Remove the nuts from the lower engine mounting bolts. S Pull the mounting bolts rearwards and clear of the engine mount and remove the rear shock mount rubber. S Remove the nuts from the upper engine mounting bolts. S Pull the mounting bolts rearwards and clear of the engine mount and remove the rear shock mount rubber. S Move the engine clear of the airplane.  Remove the front shock mount rubber. Make sure that when you move the engine clear of the airplane that you do not catch the engine on any of the equipment around the engine mount. 
S Lower the engine into the engine stand. 
(53)  If necessary: S Remove the oil pipe from the accessory housing. S Remove the fuel pipe from the inlet to the engine driven fuel pump.  Note the orientation. Put caps on the open connections. Note the orientation.

3. Install the Engine (without the Engine Mount)
Note:  If you install a new engine, you must do the engine break-in procedure after installation. Refer to Paragraph 11.

(1)  If you have not already done so: S Raise the airplane on jacks and make the airplane level. S Move the nose trestle into position.  Refer to Section 07-10. Refer to Section 07-10. 
(2)  Examine the engine and propeller control cables. Move each cable through its range of movement several times. 
(3)  Make sure all the electrical cables are clean and not damaged.
