Make sure the switch did not operate.
NOTE:____You can hear a click when the switch operates. You also can do a check of the continuity as follows. The switch must be closed in the mid travel position.
1) Remove the ceiling panels in the main passenger cabin to get access to the connector plugs below the control stand (AMM 25-22-01/401).
2) Disconnect the applicable connector plug and do a check of the continuity for the applicable switch as follows: a) For switch S1, do a check of the continuity between
pins 4 and 5 of the connector plug, P13. b) For switch S3, do a check of the continuity between pins 1 and 3 of the connector plug, P19. c) For switch S5, do a check of the continuity between pins 1 and 3 of the connector, P20.
(c)
If the switch operated (there is no continuity), loosen the screws that attach the switch to the thrust lever.
(d)
Move the switch away from the lever and tighten the screws.
(e)
If you moved the switch, repeat this procedure: Adjust the applicable go-around switches (S1, S3 or S5).
(f)
If the switch operates again, (there is no continuity), bend the switch roller lever no more than 0.06 inch (1.5 mm).
(g)
If you bent the switch, repeat this procedure: Adjust the applicable go-around switches (S1, S3 or S5).
(h)
Push the go-around lever on the No. 2 thrust lever to its full travel position and hold.
(i)
Make sure that the switch did operate.
NOTE:____You can hear a click when the switch operates. You also can do a check of the continuity as follows.
1) For switch S1, make sure that there is no continuity between pin 4 and pin 5 of connector P13. 2) For switch S3, make sure that there is no continuity between pin 1 and pin 3 of connector P19. 3) For switch S5, make sure that there is no continuity between pin 1 and pin 3 of connector P20.
(j) Install the applicable connector plugs, P13, P19 or P20, below the control stand.

(6) Do this recommended alternate procedure to adjust the applicable go-around switches (S1, S3 or S5) as follows:
(a)
Remove the ceiling panels in the main passenger cabin to get access to the connector plugs below the control stand (AMM 25-22-01/401).
(b)
Disconnect the applicable connector plug and do a check of the applicable switch for continuity as follows: 1) Put a 0.032 inch diameter wire between the stop pin and the
hole in the trigger (Fig. 402, View C, step 1).
2) Push the go-around lever on the No. 2 thrust lever down until it pushes on the wire and hold it in position. a) For switch S1, do a check for continuity between pins 4
and 5 of the connector plug, P13. b) For switch S3, do a check for continuity between pins 1 and 3 of the connector plug, P19. c) For switch S5, do a check for continuity between pins 1 and 3 of the connector, P20. d) Remove the wire.
(c)
If there is no continuity, loosen the screws that attach the switch to the thrust lever.
(d)
Move the switch away from the lever and tighten the screws.
(e)
If you moved the switch, do this alternate procedure again: Adjust the applicable go-around switches (S1, S3 or S5).
(f)
If there is no continuity again, bend the switch roller lever no more than 0.06 inch (1.5 mm).
(g)
If you bent the switch, do this alternate procedure again: Adjust the applicable go-around switches (S1, S3 or S5).
(h)
Put a 0.015 inch diameter wire between the stop pin and the hole in the trigger (Fig. 402, View C, step 2).
(i)
Push the go-around lever on the No. 2 thrust lever down until it pushes on the wire and hold it in position. 1) For switch S1, make sure that there is no continuity
between pin 4 and pin 5 of connector P13. 2) For switch S3, make sure that there is no continuity between pin 1 and pin 3 of connector P19. 3) For switch S5, make sure that there is no continuity between pin 1 and pin 3 of connector P20.
