 (16) Do an inspection of the autothrottle servomotor and brake assembly (Fig. 601):
 (a)  
Remove the autothrottle servomotor and brake assembly
 (AMM 76-11-05/401).


 (b)  
Remove the locknut on the brake shaft assembly.

 (c)  
Remove the brake shaft from the assembly.

 (d)  
Do a check on these components for the correct wear limits as shown in the table: 1) One bearing (1), four bearings (5), four bearings (11),


 four bearings (49), one shaft (2, 4), five rotors (3, 3A, 6, 12), one bracket (7), five end cap assemblies (8, 14), five rotor/end cap assemblies (10, 16), ten stators (9, 15), four autothrottle housing assemblies (13, 45, 47, 51, 55), eight bushings (43, 48, 53, 56), four rod end bearings
 (33) and the eight bolts (34, 44, 46, 50, 52, 54).
 2)  If the dimensions of the component exceed the given wear limit, do the applicable repair.
 (e)  Assembly the autothrottle brake assembly: 1) Lightly coat all mating surfaces with MIL-G-23827 grease. 2) Install the shaft. 3) Install the locknut.
 a)  Tighten the nut to 100-150 pound-inches more than the run-on torque.
 b)  The housing of the break/support assembly must have a minimum of 0.10 inch of axial travel when you install the locknut.
 (f)  Install the autothrottle servomotor and brake assembly (AMM 76-11-05/401).

 (17) Do an inspection of the thrust lever position resolvers (Fig. 601):
 (a)  
Remove the ceiling panels to get access to the thrust lever position resolvers (referred to as the resolvers) (AMM 25-22-01/401).

 (b)  
Remove the resolvers (Ref 76-11-02/401).

 (c)  
Disconnect the rod assemblies from the resolver cranks.

 (d)  
Do a check on these components for the correct wear limits as shown in the table: 1) Four Resolver cranks (35, 41), four shafts (40), four

 bearings (39), four rod end bearings (33), four bushings (36, 37), and four bolts (34, 38, 42). 2) If the dimensions of the components more than the given wear limit, do the applicable repair.

 (e)
Assemble the rod assembly connection to the resolver crank.

 1)  Install the four bolts, nuts, and bushings. a) Use BMS5-95 wet sealant when you install the bushings.

 (f)  
Install the resolvers (AMM 76-11-02/401).
