 (16) Move the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 thrust levers forward from the idle position until the thrust lever knobs align with the thrust lever knob of the No. 1 thrust lever.
 NOTE: Move the thrust levers forward smoothly from the idle
____ position to prevent hysteresis during the thrust lever adjustment. If you move the thrust lever more than necessary, put the thrust lever back to the idle position and do this step again.

 If one of the API display value at full forward thrust or full reverse thrust is not in the limits or if the thrust lever knob is not aligned in the specified limits, do the steps that follow:

 (a)
Adjust the thrust lever assemblies again (AMM 76-11-01/501).

 (b)
Adjust the position resolvers again.

 

 (21)
 Disconnect the pulse generator, multimeter, counter, and API.

 (22)
 Make sure all clamps for the position resolver body are tight.

 (23)
 Make sure all adjustment nuts for the connecting rod are tight.

P1 of T1742 for the position resolver of the No. 1 thrust lever

P1 of T1743 for the position resolver of the No. 2 thrust lever

 3.  Calibrate the Thrust Lever Position Resolver (Alternative Procedure)____________________________________________________________________ (Fig. 501 and 503)
 A.  General
 (1)  
You can use the alternative adjustment procedure of the thrust lever if you do not have the sinewave generator, digital multimeter, universal counter, or angle position indicator to use. But, the recommended adjustment procedure of the position resolver use the external equipment on the airplane. It is less possible that an error will occur when you use the external equipment and not the airplane EICAS screen.

G12001 Kit-Rig Pin

 (a)  
TL1, MS20392-4C or equivalent 0.309-0.311 inch (7.85-7.90 mm) diameter rod or bolt by 12.0 inches (305 mm) in length.
