D. Preconditions
 S 865-046-N00
 (1)  These conditions are necessary for this task:
 (a)  
Electrical power on (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (b)  
Integrated Display System serviceable (AMM 31-61-00/501).

 (c)  
Airplane must be in the Ground Mode (AMM 32-09-02/201).


 E. Procedure
 S 865-002-N00
 (1)  
Do the deactivation procedure for the captain and first officer
 seats (AMM 76-11-03/201).

 (2)  
Remove the electrical power from the thrust lever switches,
 operation circuits for the speed brake lever, and flap lever RVDT
 (AMM 76-11-03/201).

 (3)  
Do the deactivation procedure for the autothrottle servomotor
 (AMM 76-11-03/201).

 (4)  
Remove the switch covers for the thrust lever assembly, thrust lever cover on the control stand, and control stand side panels (AMM 76-11-03/201).

 (5)  
Move the thrust levers approximately 42.0 degrees forward of the
 idle position.

 

 NOTE: The Thrust Lever Angle (TLA) shows on the EPCS-MAN event
____ screen as Thrust Resolver Angle (TRA) degrees of displacement (Fig. 502).

Install the TL1 rig pin through the mounting brackets for the
 autothrottle brake and rigging slots in the brake housings.

Make sure that the forward thrust lever knobs 1,3 and 4 are aligned
 with forward thrust lever knob 2.

If the thrust lever knobs are not aligned, you must adjust the
 levers 1, 3, and 4.


 (a)  
Remove the lockwire from the control rod end (Fig. 501).

 (b)  
Loosen the locknuts.

(c)  Adjust the turnbarrels until the aft face of each thrust lever
 knob aligns in less than 0.02 inch (0.5 mm) of the aft face of
 the thrust lever knob No. 2.
 (d)  Tighten the locknuts.
 (e)  Install lockwire on the control rod end (Fig. 501).
 (f)  Do a check of all rod ends of the control rods for correct
 thread engagement.
 NOTE:____ The rod end threads must be seen through the
 inspection holes and should cover at least one
 half of the hole diameter.

Remove the TL1 rig pin from the autothrottle brake assembly.
