Remove the screws which attach the applicable switch and actuator assembly to the thrust lever.

Remove the switch and the actuator from the thrust lever.
(8)
Remove the heat shrink tubing from the wire terminals.

Use the solder iron to remove the solder and the wires from the switch (AMM 20-11-25/201).

3. Install the Autothrottle Disconnect (S7, S9) or Reset (S8, S10) Switches

A. General
(1)
This task applies to the autothrottle disconnect switches and the autothrottle reset switches.
(2)
Do not replace the two switches when only the one switch does not operate. You only have to replace the switch that does not operate.
